I don’t really have a first draft BUT I do have my first ever art of the idea

It came 4 months before the first comic I made for it, it even has my little rambling when I posted it on my friends discord (pfp and nickname censored due to irl content)

She was much smaller back then, shaped some where between a pony and a deer and her hair noodles became a frill that ran down her back in a type of mane

Also a completely different artstyle too, usually when I scribble things look different just because I don’t sketch them

It was much more angst forward and I think the way Jax is shown feeling still happens in the current version, that like with Ribbit and kaufmo there’s this giant void of silence where there never was one before

I’m unsure if this specific thing will be continued after I wrap up the rest of the panels, ideally I’d like to do that but with school and life I’m constantly juggling this with other responsibilities

I’m happy to report I had straight As last semester but that sort of stuff is a full time commitment and I know it’ll get harder before it gets better for this stuff. Just wanna say I love the support even if you never see this or don’t know who I am. I appreciate the fact that yall remind me I can still live my dream during these hard times.

There was like 5 people in the building max, but the thing i remember most was walking up to one large table that was actually lit up and the guy showing me around say

“This is where we bleach the penguins.”

I got tickets to the showing at a semi local theater, don’t worry I won’t post till the YouTube release of the episode

But like how are people being so mean about this? I understand it sucks that some people may not be able to see it due to location or expense but that doesn’t mean it’s glitch’s fault. Glitch is a very small production compared to something like A24 or Blumhouse, contracts for films are expensive and having fans reach out saying they’d want to see a specific film at their theater actually makes the theaters consider it more than if Glitch approached them.

Cause you’re basically saying “hey play this movie and I’ll come spend money at your establishment” instead of glitch trying to sell a contract deal on a background of zero commercial television or theatrical Production.

Even if TADC is on Netflix it’s not an exclusive deal there, they said it was a licensing agreement meaning it’s for distribution and Netflix probably gets most of that money from streaming it.

Also regarding the abnormal gap time between the film release and the actual online episode release, that’s most likely part of the theater contract. The theaters have to make money off the showing, the thought is that if the finale was free online then why would anyone pay to go see it in seats. Two weeks is very reasonable imo for a film to “stream” release window

It is unfortunate that some global fans will be blocked from getting early access to the finale but it’s not an intentional decision I’m sure.

Online spoilers will inevitably suck but I waited a month before being able to see Thunderbolts and managed to dodge spoilers by muting tags and just avoiding online fandom space. It would be nice if no one would spoil things but someone will definitely clickbait and leak the living hell out of it so you just have to be wise and keep off the fandom space or socials.

I guess summing up my long rant is basically that yeah some of it is unfair and it sucks most of the fan events take place in the north americas but it’s not Glitch’s fault because you have to remember they’re a small indie animation group

We shouldn’t be attacking each other or the show cast and runners, we should be happy that this giant step for indie animation is happening and that we get to experience something like this

Go support your local theater or contact them to carry it, help small artist groups like Glitch get a bigger voice in an industry dominated by monopolistic companies
