I wish fans were kinder to Phase 4. Every time i see someone utterly shit on it, i roll my eyes cause you can tell that they have no actual understanding of what this phase was doing and why it felt the way it did. Phase 4 had the burden of having to accomplish multiple things at once. It not only had to deal with the aftermath of 10 years worth of storytelling after the climactic finish of Infinity War/Endgame but it also had to expand the world even further by introducing a new slate of heroes while re-introducing older ones who hadn't had the chance to be explored before. Furthemore both the making & release of all the projects were heavily affected by the pandemic. Also this Phase was experimental with new things like weekly TV shows, animation, as well as Special Presentations. All of which were meant to show Marvel what works best, which character & which story suits what form of media. Some say that Phase 4 has been confusing and disjointed when it hasn't. The set ups for teams like the new Avengers, the Young Avengers etc and the separation of different corners of the MCU: street level, supernatural, magic, space, cosmic have all been made perfectly clear. You don't need to have knowledge of the comics nor to have Kevin Feige come out and spell it to you. If you just pay attention to what's been shown, including the announcements for upcoming projects, you'll realize how much sense everything actually makes. It's honestly insane to think about how we only have two more projects until Phase 4 ends but the future of the MCU is brighter than ever. There are so many incredible things to be excited about moving forward & while you may not vibe with all of them (cause believe it or not, you're not the target audience for everything) you still have an obligation as a fan to show respect for the work put into these projects & to your fellow fans who will come to enjoy them. Because remember: Not everything is about you and that's ok
