INTRO
basic information:
Full name: Winter Amos Murdock
(Not related to Matt, last name was a coincidence)
Gender: Non-binary (They/Them)
Ethnicity: Black (dark skinned)
Eye color: grey
Age: 13
Hight: 5’5
DOB: June 16 2009
Species: Inhuman (power is similar to Quake’s from AOS) they can produce vibrations strong enough to rattle buildings but don’t know how to control it and often hurt themselves (scaring/‘cracking’ on their skin)
Retina’s detached bc of their power so they’re blind
Relations:
@the-best-damn-avocado - Matt Murdock, adoptive dad (Deceased)
@verygoodlawyer - Matt Murdock (took them in?)
Background:
Winter was raised in the St. Finnian of Clonard Catholic Church in Hell’s Kitchen as an orphan until they were twelve when they ran away because they didn’t like that the church was trying to get them to be someone they’re not. Their parents gave them up because they didn’t want the responsibility of raising a child since they were a mistake
When they ran away they lived on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen normally sleeping in alleyways and dumpsters.
Meeting:
Matt Murdock (original adoptive father) fell into a dumpster they were sleeping in and woke them up making them immediately go on the defensive. Matt felt bad for them and took them to his apartment so they could shower and eat something. When Matt found out Winter was also blind he helped them learn to fight and take care of themselves and also gave them an old walking cane he didn’t use anymore.
Matt can sense the vibrations when Winter uses their power and scolds them when they try to use it because their power is stronger than their physical body and when they use it they normally end up really badly injured from the inside out, causing his skin to ‘crack’ which made scars along his body (mostly around his hands and forearms which are almost always wrapped up in bandages)
How their power works:
Winter is able to take the vibrations from sound around them and direct it, they are unable to make these tremors out of nowhere and need a source of sound to take from. Hell’s Kitchen however, is insanely chaotic and loud so they end up having more vibrations than they can control causing them to try to suppress it and harming them from the inside out. The tremors make a low rumbles, often too quiet for anyone to pick up.
