Voltron X Reader

You and Keith were sitting at dinner silently, you both were still reeling from the fight minutes before they sat down to eat. Hot tears were running down your face. The others were awkwardly tried to ignore you both.

You were the only one not eating. You sat there staring at your bowl trying to calm down. You could feel eyes on you. You lifted your bloodshot eyes and met Keith's. Just the sight of him made you want to shove a spoon down his throat. You growled and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Keith asked. You ignored him and kept walking trying not to cry even more. "Don't act like a child, answer me."

You turned to face him, "I don't answer to you. I answer to no one."

"Quit being so hard headed."

"Quit expecting me to change my ways for you. I'm not going to." You snapped. You turned and started to walk out.

"Hey!" Keith shouted, you stopped but didn't turn. "I never asked you to change! I asked you to think about everyone else! You believe you are above everyone else."

"I don't know about you guys, but I come first! I'm not into that self sacrificing shit. I'm not giving my life for anyone else. I was raised with common sense. It's how I was raised."

"Don't you think-"

"Stop. I already explained myself. Don't bother, okay? Just leave be alone." You stormed out.

You needed out. You needed to breathe but you couldn't. It felt like you were suffocating. Why couldn't he just understand that you would hate to die just to save someone else?

You went to your room and laid down.

You woke up to someone crawling into bed behind you. "Are you awake?" Keith asked as he buried his head in your back.

"I am now, what do you want?" You asked grabbing his hand and holding it.

"I just wanted to apologize. Shiro has a talk with me after our fight..." he trailed off and pulled me tighter against him. "I'm sorry I couldn't see where you were coming from."

"Hey, calm down." You said. You rolled to face him and kissed his forehead.

He burried his face in your chest and pulled you tight against him. "Can we talk about this in the morning? Let's go to sleep."

It's been years since you and Lotor have seen each other, the war was over and you both missed each other like crazy. He told you before you two split that after the war, he'd come to earth. It it's been 6 years since the war ended. You had been left with no sign of him until Shiro called over the ouf speaker that you were needed ASAP.

You hurried down the hall hoping that it was news of Lotor. Hopefully he was coming to see me.

"Lotor is here, but I think there is something you should know." Shiro said gently taking your hand.

"What?" You ask letting him pull you into a hug.

"He cheated on you." You tensed and you pull out of his grasp.

"Where is he?" You asked. You looked around he room and noticed all your friends in there with disappointment on their face. Hunk rolled his eyes and looked back to the computer.

"He's in the meeting room. I chose it because-"

You didn't have the time to listen. You bolted down the hallway. You dodged people as you ran. You swung open the meeting room door and see him sitting there with this head in his hands.

"Baby, I have something to tell you." He said. He stood and motioned me over.

"You cheated on me?" You said slamming the door shut.

"Baby, it's not what you think. Let me explain-"

"No! You can't fix this. I hate you."

"I thought you were dead."

"Oh yeah? Sure." You hissed crossing you arms walking over to him. "Lotor, For once, no more lies. Just tell me the truth, if you even know how to." You said. He nodded and patted the seat beside him. She listened and sat down.

"I'm not making this up. Just listen." He said turning to face me. "I arrived to the castle and they told me that that you were sent to earth with Pidge's father back to earth a year ago. So I went out to found the planet. So I made contact. I asked if you or her father arrived. They told me that you both died going back through the atmosphere." He pauses looking back at his hands. "My heart was shattered that day. I left your planet and went back to where I left the castle, but it wasn't there." He wiped his face.

"Why are crying?" You asked.

"How would you feel if i died?"

"I'm not, I'm -"

"I know that now, but I didn't know that back then." He cut me off. I nodded.

"I'm sorry." You apologized and let him go on.

"Anyway, i was heart broken. I really thought you died. A few years passed and we thought the Paladins were dead so I set back to trying to take the Quintessence from the Alteans. I found my mom first, she told me that she though I was dead as well. She was planning an attack against the Paladins. I left the planet. I let her build her robots or whatever she was doing. Were they Robots?"

"Yeah but there was an Altean in each one."

"Is she-"

"Allura and Haggar stayed to fix everything."

"Oh. Is that why you honnor Allura?" You nodded and scooted forward.

"So I went back to earth. I managed to think that I slipped under Earths radar and I tried to live a normal life. I found someone, yes. We married, but I still talked about you. I was still in love with you. Then Shiro knocks on my door during a fight with my wife." He told me that you had been waiting for me."

"Did you tell him what your telling me?"

"Of course I did. He didn't believe me. Hunk did. Only him. They others threatened me for hurting you. I requested to see you because I wanted you to know what happened. I knew you'd want nothing more than to punch me like you did during our first fight."

"What now? You have a wife." You mumbled. He took his hands in yours.

"This mariage is over anyway. We weren't compatible like we are." He said. He pulled you into a kiss.

"You're wife-"

"Already filed for divorce a while ago. She's moved on."

"Then why were you fighting when Shiro got there?"

"We have two dogs, were fighting because I want one and she wants them both."

You laughed at the fact that the fight was so dumb. "Just get a new dog."

"Excuse me? KONG is practically my son. She can keep that other spawn of satan." It made you laugh harder, he laughed with you.

"Well, keep fighting for him I suppose."

"You should go home and tell her about me."

"Come with me? She always said she wished she could meet you."

We walked to the entrance and saw a tall, slender woman holding two dogs. He gave a small smile. And he pulled him into a one arm hug.

"So I heard she's alive, so I decided to give you a little present." She handed over one of leashes.

"Really?" He asked as the dog jumped up on him.

"Of course. I get to visit though."

"Of course. He said sitting down on the ground with the dog. Kayleigh, meet my previously thought dead fiancé."

"Hello, I've heard literally everything about you." She said with a laugh. "It felt like I married the both of you."

"Everything?"

"Everything." She said with a shiver. That ment she learned about your sex life??

"LOTOR?"

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD?" He yelled.

"Oh my gosh."

You were sitting in your dorm room alone thinking about James. You were helplessly in love with him. It was terrifying. You've never felt like this.

You had trouble catching your breath around him. A guy has never made you as breathless as he has. Well now that your thinking about there was that one time when you were sparing with Keith and he knocked the wind out of you, but that's diffrent.

With James you felt like a new helpless version of yourself. Constantly tripping and stumbling around like a baby learning to walk. He's the light of your life as strange as that sounds.

You felt your stomach growl, but you didn't want to go down stairs, he would be down there across from your seat, but you can't start yourself, maybe just maybe you could sneak past him and sit with someone else.

You hurry down and grab your breakfast, you notice that most seats were full, but there was a table towards the back, you started to walk over there when you felt someone grab your arm.

"Hey, where are you going?" James said.

Oh gosh. Oh no. Abort mission. "I decided to. . . Get exercise by walking ... around the perimeter of the cafeteria, before I go and sit down." You lied.

"You realize that you could just work out after breakfast?" He asked. "You've been acting really weird lately, what's wrong."

"Nothing!" You shouted before slamming your hand across your mouth. You looked around and noticed everyone staring at you guys.

"Are you sure?" You shoved your tray into his hands so he couldn't follow you and you bolted to the ladies bathroom.

Oh my gosh, I am a moron! You thought hitting your head on the wall.

You had always thought you were strong, that was of course you started to fall for him. Love made you weak, as sick as it sounds it's true.

You take a deep breath and walk out and see James standing there in the hallway leaning against the wall with his arms closed.

"Talk to me." He said, his voice was soft, but it was still demanding.

"About what? I'm fine."

"We're a team, we can't have whatever this is to get in the way of our work." He said standing up straight.

"It won't, it hasn't." You said turning to leave, he grabbed you and turned him toward him and held you there.

"Look me in the eyes, tell me that there is nothing to talk about." He said lifting your head so your eyes met.

You sigh and cross your eyes and looking away, "I can't do that, you knew that."

"Talk to me. Talk to someone." He said letting you go.

"I can't talk to you."

"Did I make you mad or something? You know-"

"You want to know why it is? I'm in love with you." You snapped and turned around away from him but didn't leave.

Your heart was racing a mile a minute. He was silent, that couldn't be a good thing. "I love you too, but-"

"You don't want to compromise the team." You finished for him. "So you agree?"

"No, honestly no. Take a chance for us, I'm begging you. I don't want to spend the rest of my life wondering what we could have been."

"But this-"

"Im not going to do anything stupid. I know what I can and can't do in the field." Your heart was breaking more and more every time he denied you.

"Alright, But if our relationship causes any problems it's over. I'm not going to put this relationship above the team. I worked so hard to be here."

Shiro x female reader

She sat up breathing hard, she looked around with her wide, terrified eyes and tried to make sure she was safe. She turned in her lamp and looked around the room. She flung herself back down to the bed, "I need Shiro."

She rolled out of bed and put on slippers then headed out to Shiro's room. It was farther than all of the others. She didn't really know if he would be sleeping around two. After they started living here all of us adopted better sleeping habits, but there were some days when they stay up to do something.

She knocked on his door, but there was no answer. She knocked again and then once more after that. The door opened to a very sleepy but alert Shiro. "What's wrong?" He asked.

She froze realizing this was a mistake. She sighed "umm, well I had a nightmare..." she looked down at her feet with tears welling up in her eyes. "Can I stay the night with you?"

"Of course, come in." He took her hand and lead her to his bed and they got under his covers.

They laid there not really talking but both wanting to.

"Shiro." She said breaking their silence. She was afraid to ask him. "Can I uhh... can I hold you?"

"Hold me how?" He asked sitting up.

"Like your head on my shoulder and I hold you.

He nodded and laid his head on his shoulder and she kept him tight and warm in her arms. Soon the fell asleep.

They slept great the rest of the night.

Hunk had told you that he made Macaroni and cheese and you were so excited. It was your absolute favorite food. He even told you he bought ranch just for you. Once it hit 6 o'clock you ran right out of your room and straight to the kitchen even bumping into Allura on your way.

You shouted an apology over your shoulder and ran into the kitchen. "Hunk!" You yelled. You pulled him tightly into a hug and he laughed and kissed your forehead. "I will bring your bowl out cutie."

"Hunk, have I ever told you how much I love you?" You asked already heading to the dinning room.

"Hmmm, I'm not sure you have." He said looking like he was thinking really hard.

"Well then-" you said walking back over to him and taking a hold of his jacket and pulled him closer to you. "I love you so much. You ate my whole world."

"I love you too." He said kissing your lips. You pulled away from him and hurried to the dinning room table where everyone was sat.

Hunk brought out a few pots of it and we quickly scoop it into our bowls. Hunk grabbed the ranch and put some in my bowl and kissed me on the cheek. Everyone looked mildly disturbed.

"Ewww!" Lance shrieked. "You put ranch in your macaroni and cheese? What the hell?"

"Fight me, Lance. It's freaking delicious."

"Satan has a special place in Hell for you." He said sitting down. You hunk and Keith burst out laughing and sat down.

"I hope so. I don't just want to be with everyone else." You said taking a big bite staring at Lance. He cringed and gave a disgusted look.

"Weirdo."

Oh hell no. You stood up grabbing your bowl and walking over to him. You took a small scoop of your food and shoved it into his mouth.

He went to spit it out but saw your face and decided it would be better to keep it in. Everyone was laughing at the both of you arguing over something so weird. He chewed it fast and swallowed it. "So, it's not that bad but it's still pretty nasty."

you were chilling out with Lance because Pidge was hyper focused on a new project. Normally you didn't mind, but this time you weren't going to argue with her. She was going have to make up for the missed date.

"So no date tonight?" Lance asked.

"Nope, Pidge found a new thing and is hyper focused on it." You said with a sigh. You glanced around and got up. "I'll be back. I need to make sure she eats and goes to the bathroom."

"Wait, what do you mean? If she's hungry she'll eat man. If she needs to ... go she will."

"No she won't. She doesn't stop. I'll be back. Probably."

You made your way down the hall and to her room. You walked in and gagged, it stunk.

"Babe,"

"What?"

"You smell like death."

"I know. I'll take a shower before bed."

"Babe, come on."

"I'm nearly done! Just let me-"

"Up. Now."

"I need-" you sigh and pull her to her feet and take her hand and lead her to the restroom. You start the shower.

"What were you studying this time?" You ask as you turn to help her undress.

"I want to make a tracker that can go unnoticed. I was searching Galra and Altean records of something that can help me make it."

You nodded and helped her step into the shower and close the curtain. You lowered the Toilet cover and sat down. "I think I've got close though."

"Did you?" You asked. "That's good. I'm proud of you." She poked her head from the end of the shower curtain.

"Do you mean that or are you pulling my leg?"

"I mean it, your going to figure it out and possibly change the outcome of the war."

"Your right! I need to get back to work."

"Nope. Finish your shower."

"But-"

"No."

She fell silent which probably ment that she was pouting. You smiled. A few minutes later the water shut off and you handed her a towel to dry off before she stepped out.

"Go get dressed, then you can go back to work. I'll come back and get you in a few hours for dinner.... are you hungry now?"

"No." She said rushing out the door to get dressed. You left to go back to Lance.

Shiro entered the crowded cafe. He walked up to the counter and ordered a black coffee. As he was waiting for it he took a look around. There was one table still empty.

"Crowded, huh." A man said standing beside him. "I've been eyeing that table back there, and I saw you glance at it."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"Don't be, we could sit together if you'd like. That is if you don't mind sitting with a weird stranger." He said.

Shiro chuckled and nodded, "I wouldn't mind at all." He said turnout by around when the lady handed him his coffee. "I'll meet you back there," Shiro said.

He made his way to that lonely table in the back. he took a seat next to the window and glanced out. it was a darker day. it looked like it would start to rain any minute. his mind shifted to the guy he was going to sit with. normally he would grab his coffee and go on a walk since it was always packed on the daily. he didn't want to go home just yet so he agreed to sit with the man.

"Howdy, stranger." The man pulled out the chair beside him and glanced out the window. "so, do you think that it'll rain?" he asked.

"I do, I haven't checked the weather yet. I don't care either way." Shiro said taking a sip of his coffee.

the man smiled at him, "I love the rain. it's calming."

they heard the thunder roar and lightning cracked. shiro noticed the way it highlighted the man's face. shiro couldn't help but smile. "How do you feel about thunderstorms?" he asked.

"they are just as beautiful." the man said.

Shiro and the and the man talked for a while about anything and everything. shiro adored the way he talked about the things he enjoyed. the way the man light up when he talked about what he liked.

then the lights flickered.

he glanced away to look at the ceiling lights and back to the man. he noticed the smile slipped away and he looked afraid. "would you like to leave?" Shiro asked.

"I suppose, would you walk me out?" He asked Shiro.

"Of course." Shiro chuckled and stood up. He glanced at the guy grabbing his bag and coffee.

"How far away do you live?"

"About a 15 minute walk? Why?"

"Take my jacket." Shiro said setting down his coffee. He slipped his jacket off and handed it to him.

"Are- Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah, you can give it back around- let's say 6:30 Wednesday night."

"Yeah- actually wait- can we do Thursday? I work Wednesday."

You were laying in bed watching whatever show was playing on your favorite channel, you weren't very interested at the moment. You were bored of laying there but you didn't want to get up.

The door opened to Keith who dropped his duffel bag of workout gear by the door. "What'cha watching?" He asked moving to the closet and taking his shoes off.

"I don't know, come here and give me a kiss. I've missed you."

"I've only been gone an hour and a half," he said but came over anyway. You went to go sit up but then he stopped you. "Are you a fan of Spider-Man?"

"Ummm... what are you on about?"

"You know that kiss from the movie?" He asked leaning down closer.

"This will never work on the first try, dork." You said with a smile.

"We can still try. What do you say?"

"Come here."

He leaned in and kissed you. It wasn't the best kiss but it worked on the first try. You broke away laughing and pulled him into bed.

"Are you in the mood for Spider-Man now?" He asked pulling me close and putting his head on your chest.

"I'm in the mood for you." You laughed kissing him again. You turned your attention back to the TV.

"How inappropriate." He said with a chuckle.
