Esteemed Sir @adominantmaster told me to describe my routine and how my day looks like.
It would be a pleasure and honor to try to satisfy his curiosity and share it. With his permission, that thing posts it publicly.
My day starts at 06:30 am. There is no difference whether it is a working day or a weekend. I will describe a working day because it is the more consistent routine. It really depends on the day, might vary, but I will try to describe itgenerally to give you general idea.
At 06:30 time the cage unlocks and I am expected to get out of it. I have 30 seconds to leave before the door locks again. If it does I have no normal way to get out and as result I will get into trouble because I won't be able to complete my morning routine before Owners wake up. It wakes me up better than any coffee would.
The early morning is the time when I do my maintenance and hygiene procedures. I take a shower, shave where needed, brush and floss my teeth, wash my face, and do my daily skincare routine. I apply moisturiser and sunscreen before getting dressed if also needed.
I also take care of my nails, check that they are clean and tidy, and make sure my appearance meets my Owners' expectations. My outfit is the simplest possible and targets me to be effective in maintaining myself.
I use the bathroom and then spend about 20 or 30 minutes exercising, mostly stretching, mobility exercises and light bodyweight training.
By around 07:30am I am finished and ready to start preparing breakfast.
The target time is 08:15.
By then breakfast must be ready and served on the table: coffee already poured into the cups, hot food plated, cutlery on the table, and the table set. Some mornings take longer if I need to prepare packed lunches
At 08:00 Master and Mistress wake up.
Nowadays there is no ritual that I must comply with. They come downstairs on their own. that time belongs to them and I am not part of it. Usually Master comes down first while Mistress remains upstairs in the bedroom or shower for a little longer.
The time from 08:15 to 09:00 is reserved for breakfast. I remain nearby and am ready to help with anything my Owners need.
This time is also used to brief them on my plans for the day, remind them of their own appointments or commitments and mention anything concerning the household that may require their attention.
By 09:00 they are usually finished with breakfast.
The next 30 minutes are reserved for assisting them as they get ready to leave. Their clothes have already been prepared, but I help Mistress with her hair if requested, bring accessories, prepare coats and shoes, and make sure everything they need for the day is ready before they leave.
By 09:30 they are ready and usually leave the house.
That is the time when I can have breakfast of my own.
By 10:00 I have finished eating and the kitchen has been completely reset after the morning routine.
The time from 10:00 to around 17:30 is dedicated to chores.
I do not have strict instructions about the order in which they should be completed, so I am free to organise them in whatever way I find most efficient.
I clean whichever areas are assigned for that day, restock household supplies such as soap, toiletries and fresh towels, start and rotate the laundry, and organise grocery deliveries if needed, although I usually place those orders while preparing breakfast.
I am allowed to take breaks, and this note was written during these breaks.
During my breaks I may do whatever I want. They are not limited to a specific duration, but all tasks assigned for the day must still be completed. If I rest too much and fail to meet the day's target objectives, the consequences are serious.
My daily chores differ from day to day. I follow a schedule of rotating tassk over the course of a week, while some tasks rotate monthly. Alongside those are the tasks that must be completed every day, unexpected jobs that arise or ongoing projects.
The rotating tasks include deep cleaning specific areas of the house, routine house maintenance, gardening, organising storage spaces, paying bills and similar larger jobs.
The daily tasks include vacuuming and mopping flooors, dusting, wiping kitchen and bathroom surfaces, cleaning mirrors and waterish areas, replacing towels, refilling toiletries and supplements, tidying rooms, doing the laundry, drying and ironing clothes, folding them, and putting everything back into the wardrobes.
Unexpected or random tasks include arranging appointments, reminding my Owners about upcoming events, accepting deliveries, or handling small household issues or Owners' needs that arise during the day.
Ongoing projects have a defined beginning and end. For example, Master's current project is reorganising the attic and converting it into a library. At the moment I am bringing items downstairs, sorting them into categories, finding places for the things that will stay in the house, and preparing the remaining items for storage or disposal.
A typical working day therefore consists of the daily routine, one deep-cleaning task, one monthly task, work on an ongoing project, and numerous small jobs that only take a few minutes each. The project work usually adds the greatest challenge because it has to fit into an already structured schedule without delaying the regular household duties.
The day often looks approximately like this:
12:15-14:00 - Deep-cleaning task
14:00-14:30 - Light lunch
14:30-15:30 -Monthly task
15:30-17:00 - Ongoing project
This is only an approximation.
Unexpected interruptions happen almost every day: deliveries, phone calls, contractors, or errands.I normally leave some spare time in my schedule because otherwise one delay would throw the whole day off. Some tasks take longer than expected while others are completed more quickly, so the schedule changes slightly from day to day.
Around 17:30 I begin preparing dinner and if necessary reset the house for my Owners' return by tidying the common areas, finishing any remaining laundry, and making sure everything is in order. If I become sweaty while doing my job I usually shower again before my Owners return.
And before my Owners return I usually do one final walk through the house to make sure everything looks in order.
Evening
They usually return around 19:00. Not always togetherc but jt depends.
Dinner is ready and served unless I have been told otherwise or know that they will be late. The exact arrangements differ, but I am allowed to eat before they return because I know I will be occupied once they are home.
From 19:00 to 21:00 I remain at their beck and call and provide whatever assistance they require. At a minimum this includes serving dinner, clearing the table, and cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
Depending on the day and their mood it may also include personal requests such as fetching items, preparing drinks, helping with grooming, giving a massage, or whatever else they need.
From 21:00 to 22:00 I have my official leisure time, which is reserved for hobbies or rest. I usually spend it reading or watching something. This is generally the time when I am least likely to be needed, though I may still be summoned if something urgent comes up.
From 22:00 until 23:00 I complete the remaining end-of-day tasks, prepare clothes and shoes for the following morning, finish any leftovers from the day's work and make sure everything is ready for the next day.
From 23:00 to 23:30 I complete my evening hygiene routine before bed. I wash my face, brush and floss my teeth, shower if needed, apply my evening skincare products.
By 23:25 I am usually inside the cage and ready to sleep.
At 23:30 the door automaticalxy locks.
Under normal circumstances I am allowed to eat the same food that I prepare for my Owners. I simply keep in mind and prepare a extra portion for myself. I know their food preferences by heart and always cook according to them.
My Owners require the food to be healthy, nutritionally balanced and prepared from fresh ingredients whenever possible. So I plan meals for the week, keep track of what is already in the pantry and freezer, rotate older products first, and make sure nothing is wasted.
I know approximately how many calories each meal should contain and adjust portions depending on my Owners' current workout schedule and goals.
Breakfast is usually something simple such as eggs, oatmeal, yoghurt with fruit, or wholegrain toast. Lunch is normally lighter, while dinner is the largest meal of the day.
If I am placed on a special diet, I prepare my own meals separately while continuing to cook according to their preferences.
I have the privilege of taking breaks during the day although the amount depends entirely on the workload. On average I would say I have between one and one and a half hours of breaks throughout the day, including lunch + one hour of personal time in the evening.
My sleep schedule is seven hours of sleep each night in the cage.
Weekends are mostly the same as working days, although I usually receive an additional four hours of hobby time over the course of the weekend, typically two hours on each day.
The household routine still comes first, but the reduced workload usually makes that extra free time possible.
