Types of dilemmas
Colorful names have been given to many types of dilemmas.
Double bind: conflicting requirements ensure that the victim will automatically be wrong.
Ethical dilemma: a choice between moral imperatives.
Extortion: the choice between paying the extortionist and suffering an unpleasant action.
Fairness dilemmas: when groups are faced with making decisions about how to share their resources, rewards, or payoffs
Hobson's choice: a choice between something and nothing; "take it or leave it".
Morton's fork: choices yield equivalent, often undesirable, results.
Prisoner's dilemma: An inability to coordinate makes cooperation difficult and defection tempting.
Samaritan's dilemma: the choice between providing charity, improving another's condition, and withholding it, preventing them from becoming dependent.
Sophie's choice: a choice between two persons or things that will result in the death or destruction of the person or thing not chosen.
Zugzwang: One must move and incur harm when one would prefer to make no move (esp. in chess).
“TV and film influence children more than their parents” - Agree or Disagree?
Disagree, you'd think people would be more influenced by the body in whose womb they grew to being from an egg. We probably underestimate how much people do influence us, especially ones we have an inevitable bond with. Unless children spend more time with TV and film than with their parents, in which case...why would you have kids in the first place if you can't hang out with them when they're young and at their most wonderous.

thanks to your level-headed messages i'll probably keep this one as is for now, and since i haven't even been posting interesting content lately i might move to a new blog instead and start fresh. but i'll tell you about it when that happens. i say rash things when i'm emotional, sooo i take it back
btw the 'i' on the keyboard is refusing to go capital right now, i'm not trying to be a grammar hipster with lowercase-i's, i mean gee...although maybe this lowercase application metaphorically dethrones the importance of the 'i' in context to personality and the ego, ummm...not that i expect any of you to read this or care/
why delete your tumblr?
Because people I know in real life might get the wrong idea about what I post, and I don't really want that kind of drama...I will never sacrifice my writing and I want to be able to express whatever I want. Also I get the feeling that people I used to know/half-knew frequent my blog without telling me, weird feeling...
