“there are people out there that do follow that rule,” she hummed with a nod of her head, a soft smile on her face, “the only one? i feel so honoured to be your only exception.“

jason grins behind his mask, “ do i get a sticker for the effort? or can i take a selfie with you, with the caption saying ‘ guess who found hawkgirl on the street && asked her for dirt on the mighty batman? ’? ” && honestly, the young noriette hadn’t actually expect the other to give him dirt on batman. he thought she would give him a judging look before asking him about his motives, && if he’s a super-villain from gotham that’s hell bent on getting revenge on batman via reputation damaging rumours && gossips … or some shit. ( honestly that sounds spot on of what jason would actually do with his petty ass personality ) “ oh god. so i am not the only one who thinks that right? ” jason groans at the small leak of information ( well, it’s not consider as a leak since he knows it already ) “ and by now you would think he would buy those stupid nose plug and save everyone’s ears. but nope. ” he shakes his head. “ do you think he’s finally lost it && actually thinks he’s a bat? like, do you think his snore is actually his batman way of echolocation crime && villains? ”  

“i usually don’t trust people that don’t like coffee but you are one of the exceptions,” she tried to sound nonchalantly, her redden cheeks giving her away, “and what have you done if we were on separate sides?” 

gwen sighed as she leaned her back against the wall, taking a sip of her iced coffee, “thank god this place has decent coffee, otherwise, it would have been another point on the con side of being here,” the blonde spoke with a raise of her eyebrow, “what is your stable that you can not live without? because mine is definitely coffee and my drum sticks.”

it was hard to miss someone walking around with huge hawk ( or what he assume as hawk ) wings. therefore it leaves a pretty impressionable memory, one that is quite unforgettable if that someone is hawkgirl. 

so when jason sees her, he couldn’t help but run up to her. greetings && introductions ignored before launching into a question - a very important question. “so do you know batman? if so, do you have any shit on him. good shit, bad shit, any kind of shit. i need it for….science. “ he stares at her with some sort of normalcy,  as if his question isn’t weird at all. “ i am a journalist for… ” he paused a bit to think of some name that would pass as a newspaper, “ fake york usuals. ” which would’ve been pretty passable if he isn’t dressed up in a shady manner. a black baseball cap, sunglasses && white face mask - he looks more like drug dealer than an actual journalist.
