Event: Dance A Thon
Josie wasnât one for a lot of attention, but she took a moment catch her breath. Theyâd been dancing for a long time and despite having danced the majority of her life, as well as for work, her body felt exhausted. She was not ready to give up, but she was certainly running out of energy. And then, suddenly the place seemed to change and it was announced that she and Thalia had won. Theyâd actually won. The brunette chuckled as a sudden wave of adrenaline crashed through her veins. Sheâd known her dance partner long enough to know that sheâd love the praise and recognition the win would bring, especially since the other hadnât been crowned Queen of Maywood this year. Beaming, Josie turned to her friend, engulfing her in a tight hug, hair sticking to her neck. âWe fucking won!â She laughed, her competitive side eating up the triumphant feeling that spread through her. âSee babe? Keeping me around pays off!â She basked in the moment of complete chaos that seemed to surround them, basking in it.

Thalia couldnât believe how exhausting dancing could be like this. Sweat was beading on her face--thank God for waterproof foundation--and her legs felt like they were slowly turning to jelly. About an hour ago, if youâd have asked her, she wouldâve said that she was proud of the decor in the room. Now, all she wanted was to never see them again, maybe have Jade or Josie carry her back to her apartment. Still, she would rather fall on her knees than quit before her own legs took her out of the competition, so she kept going. She hardly even registered when they won until she heard the cheering, the applause, and she flung herself at her friend, hugging her close and squealing. âBabe, I keep you around for more than wins,â she told her, before pulling back slightly. Josieâs hair was sticking to her in places, poofing out in others, and she chuckled to herself. âHow bad do I look right now?â
