She moved over to a place she could set her bag down, and started pulling out different things. There were cylinders in different colors a little bit bigger than a pokeball labeled tent, water bottles, some other basic camping supplies because the mun is super indoorsy, pokemon food, only one sleeping bag though. She looked up as he was talking.

“I can! I like only have a limited amount of space in my backpack, so I only have a limited stock on hand, but I totes pride myself on being able to find like anything for a customer! What are you looking for?”

Milo wasn’t too sure about this. Sure, his colleague could be a little shady, and it should be no surprise that he recommended a traveling salesman that seemed shady... but someone working out a backpack, offering to obtain anything? He really hoped he wasn’t dealing with any blackmarket stuff here...

“No problem. Oh we get tourism to be sure. But Mellophin Cove is for sure one of the bigger sanctuary areas generally off limits to tourists other than for the occasional Sanctioned Swim event. And of course Research teams. How many are you?” She walked along the dirt road at an easy pace. Hands in her pockets but for when the wind kicked up and she attempted to keep her hair out of her face.

“How long have you been working for the Slateport Oceanic Museum? And how did you hear about One Of a Kind Island? We have an Internship and Study program. Did one of our representatives reach out to your Museum?” 

“To answer your first question,“ Milo replied, as he followed along beside her, “We have a team about ten to twelve people, though at least seven of them are students or interns... all of course, are very skilled in their fields. I, myself, started as an intern a couple of years ago.“

Milo placed a hand over his heart, and bowed as he saw the blonde girl appear at he top of the staircase. He held the pose for a second or two, before straightening back up to look at her, “Princess Chiyo? It’s an honour to meet you.” 

He removed his hand from his chest and held it out towards her, “My name is Milo Sharma, from the Slateport Oceanic Museum. I was informed on the phone that you were the one I was supposed to meet with today?”

Miuna was enjoying the sunny day in a bout of indulgence that she may ore may not berate herself for later. She noticed the guy coming at her, lost in what he was reading and sidestepped as he stopped.

“Woah!” Came the chipper exclamation. Her smile only grew as he mentioned Miuna’s Misc. 

“You totes found it! Well, me. You found me. You see, Miuna’s Misc doesn’t have like a store store yet. Currently it’s more of like a traveling shop type deal, you know?” “So like what are you looking for? Anything specific? If I don’t have it in stock, I can like totes get it for you!”

Milo was rather distracted today. Despite it being a bright, sunny morning, Milo’s mind was far from the sunshine, and still lost in his studies. He was staring down at a printed out article as he walked, completely oblivious to the world around him... 

And of course, because he wasn’t watching where he was going, he nearly walked straight into another passerby. He managed to catch a glimpse of the girl ahead, and stopped so suddenly he nearly stumbled forward. For a moment, he just blinked at her with a glazed over look, as his mind returned to reality, instead of being lost in the words on the page. 

Almost sheepishly, he shoved the document into his pocket, and looked up at the girl, “Excuse me... I’m looking for ‘Miuna’s Misc’. A friend of mine said he purchased something near here... but I don’t see a shop nearby named that?” 

She blinked and took the card from him after a moment. She read it after a moment or two.

“Whoa~! Well it’s a pleasure Mr. Sharma. If no one has told you already, Welcome to One of a Kind Island Preserve. Don’t let the name fool you. It’s actually a small continent. The uh, founders of the preserve had an odd sense of humor there.” She wasn’t sure for a second if she was supposed to hand this back to him or keep it.

“And I should hope so since this is my Home. I’m Balia Ray, and I would be glad to get you where you need to go. Just follow me!” she waved at him and started walking.

Milo nodded. He would hold his tongue on the logistics of having a privatized landmass of this size for the sake of the operation. All that mattered to him was getting a dive team into that cove, getting water samples, and get back to studying the Water Pokemon in their natural habitats. Other questions can come later.

He followed after her, “Thank you for your help, Miss Ray.” He made a passive hand gesture as he talked, “It’s not often that we find a cove undisturbed by tourism. It would be nice to get a chance to observe the Pokemon that live within the cove.”
