I don't know about you all but I'm not comfortable having a dude best friend when I have my lover I really don't know about yall but I don't like the thought of emotionally bonding too deep w someone who isn't my darling ESPECIALLY if it's a dude cause I get bad feelings about them like okay a dude as a pal here and there esp when he's aware of them yes afterall humans want socializing but I always want to avoid bonding too much

Same thing if someone starts insisting after I tell them I got my dove. I am firm but patient about it. "No, I got my own to treasure." I often find myself inclining towards cutting ties with that person often shortly after this, simply because I'm uncomfortable. I don't like staying friends with people who wanted to get possibly intimate or any romantic with me because it feels illegal to me

I also realized that I don't say 'sorry, I have a lover' because im not sorry for that LOL

You gotta discuss your boundaries with your friends as much as a partner, platonic relationships vary in closeness and value even more than romantic ones in some sense. This person won’t know something doesn’t work for you unless you tell them. If you already have, great. I myself was sort of in a queer-platonic a few months before I met you, details unimportant to this conversation. Point is that everyone has different levels of value and importance between platonic and romantic connection. Hell, I myself value platonic connection over romantic ones. There’s no one way that friendships and relationships are like, if this person isn’t trying to do romantic acts with you then they’re treating it like how they perceive a close friendship.

That's the thing. I already told them three times in a row. I'm trying to make them understand I have problems, too. They seem to get it, but patience is coming short.

I really think it's just them feeling ignored and I hate to see that but seriously I can't be there radiating all the time everyone has problems and I already let them know I can't change overnight

This person does just seem really clingy what I’ve done with friends like that is just to introduce them to somebody similar and watch them go fuck off together but that’s not always an option

I mean they're also tryin so I can only stay patient and continue informing if that's the case but I wouldn't want to be so harsh

Unless this is like your pookie wookie bear they really can’t expect that much of your time, just back off slowly and remind them you really don’t have the time for them always
