"I'm doing pretty good." She said with a nod. "Thank you, Tyler. Besides that shitty ass date, how have you been?"

"Girl, I have had that song on repeat since it came out, and I am so damn excited for this new album!" She smiled at her. "How are you feeling? I bet you are feeling so damn great right now."

"Thank you, Devin." She smiled at her friend. "I am feeling excited and nervous at the same time." She admitted with a laugh. "It's always a huge mix of emotions whenever I enter a new era of music."

"I have had your song on repeat since it came out! You are so damn talented Pen!" She smiled. "I'll also be listening to the album when it comes out too."

"Thank you, Violet." She smiled at her friend. "Oh please do, the more people stream, the happier I'll be." She joked.

"Holy shit, are you serious Pen? That's awesome!" He smiled. "We have to celebrate all of that." He said.

"Yes, I'm serious, and I am so down. What did you have in mind?"

She smiled. "Thank you, Juliette." She said. "How are you? How's your little girl?"

"Pen, that is so damn cool!" Wren smiled. "I'll be listening to the single and the album."

Veronica stepped into town like she already belonged there, sunglasses pushed up into her hair, expression calm and unapologetic. New places never made her nervous. They never had. People usually figured out who she was before she had to explain it.

"Oh, nobody minds their business, at all." Penelope laughed and shook her head. "Everyone here is nosy as fuck."

He moved over to sit with her. “It really has been forever. Kind of wild how fast time sneaks up.” He glanced at her, relaxed. “So, catch me up. What have I missed?"

"Uh well I finished my Guts tour and I'm working on my next album, but that's really been it for me." Pen laughed. "I feel like my life has just become work, not that I'm going to complain, because I love it, but still, it does get...dull sometimes."

Ivy chuckled " And why do you think you can? I'm pretty sure it's not with everything," she shook her head.

"Girl, I was kidding. Besides, I already paid for it." She held up her reciept and looked at Ivy. "I would never be one of those rich assholes who think I can get away with shit just because I have money."

" I saw that you know?" Ivy blurted out to the person, she had walked up on before taking another sip of her smoothie. " Sometimes I don't even have to try to sneak around and find things out. They just fall right into my lap and I love it," She smiled at her friend. @rededgerpstarterblog

Pen looked at her friend and smiled. "Shh, it's not even like I'm doing anything too bad. Besides, I'm part of the 1%, I can pretty much get away with everything." She joked.

Tanner lingered just outside the doorway, hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket as he scanned the room like he was deciding whether to stay or disappear. After a beat, he stepped inside, the familiar hum of voices and movement settling his nerves more than he expected. He spotted someone he recognized and and tilted his head, a half-smile tugging at his mouth. “Funny how you can walk into a place with no plan and still end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.” He said, moving a little closer. “Mind if I join you, or is this one of those moments better left uninterrupted?” @rededgerpstarterblog
