I can write additional characters (including females) from both franchises, but they will not be given a category in the masterlists.

REQUEST RULES

Stuff I WILL Do: Angst; gore; injuries; death; suggestive/innuendo; Merc X OC; abuse only if it is in the character’s past. Neurodivergency, mental health, and poly/queer relationships are a little unfamiliar to me but I’m willing to take the challenge of writing it.

Stuff I WON’T Do: Explicit NSFW; Merc X Merc; yandere; rape; mercs being abusive or predatory; large age gaps; incest; pedophilia

I usually open requests for be done in groups, and I don’t open again for another batch until I’ve finished the first one. I try to take around 10, but I’m fine with having 11-13 so it’s not set.

The more characters assigned to a request, the shorter/less detailed the head canons will be, due to how long it takes to write tons of content for a long list of characters.

I usually write the S/O to be gender neutral so anyone can self-project, but if you’d like a specific gender let me know.

For matchups, please make it clear if you want a platonic or romantic matchup. You can also clarify if there’s any characters that you’re not interested in so I won’t pick them, and you can ask for a specific character.

For now, you can only request TF2 and Fallout 4 characters. Please put at the beginning of your request: (TF2) for the TF2 mercenaries, and (F4) for the Fallout 4 companions. This is just so that there’s no possibility of misunderstanding which characters you want me to write.

Please only request characters from one game, for organizational purposes. Please don’t mix multiple games (EX: Asking for Sniper and Paladin Danse in a single request).

I only work on one request at a time. It works on a first-come-first-serve basis; I do all of them in order of when I received them.

I can turn down any request.

MASTERLIST BELOW

I have this headcanon that engineer and his dad run a technology/engineering company together. his grandfather’s probably the one who founded it, so it’s probably called Conagher Co. or something lmao. nobody knows how engineer balances mercenary work and running a multi million dollar corporation

but I have now decided that he’s definitely the type to show up to meetings in like. a suit and tie but with cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and one of those big ass belt buckles. his dad does too

Because I do what I want

Scout:

- Tries to fistfight Goofy. Loses

- Is the only one who manages to get on every ride in the park in one day

Soldier:

- Literally spends the entire day at Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

- Only stops to rob a food cart of its turkey legs

Pyro:

- Favorite ride is Haunted Mansion

- Eats a Cast Member

Demo:

- Manages to smuggle an insane amount of scrumpy into the park

- Throws up on every roller coaster. Does not regret it

Heavy:

- His favorite ride is actually the train. Just a chance to sit down and chill out yknow

- Is the chaperone

Engie:

- Loves noticing and pointing out all the special effects and tech in each ride

- Is obsessed with the churros

Medic:

- Claps along to the music on most of the rides like a happy grandma

- If he sees a child misbehaving, he’ll tell them how dark the original fairytales Disney based their films off of are

Sniper:

- Gets insane scores in rides like Astro Blasters, Web Slingers, and Toy Story Mania

- Fell asleep in the Tiki Room and the other mercs left him there

Spy:

- Paid to get into Club 33 just to flex on the other mercs

What the mercs would think of NFTs/crypto

Scout: Bought three monkey jpgs and insists that crypto is the currency of the future. Lost all of his money in the MonkeyPoxInu crash.

Soldier: Does not understand. Does not care. Wants to punch Elon Musk

Pyro: What

Demo: Laughed his ass off when Scout tried to explain NFTs. Definitely makes the right-click joke. Thinks crypto is just as stupid

Heavy: Doesn’t fully understand it, but doesn’t care. If he can’t use it to feed his family, he doesn’t want it. Thinks NFT art is hideous

Engie: He’s an incredibly intelligent businessman. He sees the potential in the idea of NFTs to help artists monetize their work, or for new types of transactions. But he recognizes the scams, the crashes, and the environmental damage and knows it’s not worth it

Medic: Also laughed his ass off when Scout tried to explain NFTs. Says they’re stupid. Probably has participated in a scam to steal money from crypto bros

Sniper: Quite literally could not care less

Scout:

He's always a show off, but it becomes pretty obvious that he's mostly trying to impress you specifically. He spends more time around you and is more interested in showing off for you instead of for the other mercs.

It takes him a little while to work up the courage for it, but eventually he starts asking you out.

It’s. Just as bad as Expiration Date lmao

He’s very awkward about it, and he’s clearly nervous about it, stumbling over his words and losing his train of thought.

Soldier:

Here’s the thing about Soldier. He doesn’t drop hints

If he likes you, he is going to very loudly let you know, and ask you to go on a date with him in Teufort.

Will definitely offer you a raccoon or something weird like that.

Pyro:

Also not the type to leave hints, and will let you know.

They literally just give you crude crayon drawings of you and them holding hands with hearts scribbled all over lmao

Demo:

The hint that he’s attracted to you is that he becomes a little softer around you.

He will eventually just outright tell you that he likes you and wants to go on a date, but until he’s able to, he kinda just pines after you lmao

He’s more gentle with you, lowering his voice a little, not giving slaps on the back when he says hello, etc.

Also, he becomes more attentive. It seems like he always knows what you need, and is always willing to give it to you. He’s pretty sweet about it too.

Heavy:

Probably the most subtle when it comes to any kind of hint. You can’t really tell there are any signs unless you are consciously looking for them.

He seems to watch over you more, especially if you’re a woman. He checks up on you every once in a while, and keeps an eye on you when you’re in his vicinity. If you’re a merc, he’ll be nearby on the battlefield a little more.

Also, he’s usually the “doesn’t speak unless spoken to” type, but not with you. He’s more likely to approach you, want to know how you’re doing, talk about your or his interests, etc.

Engie:

He’s not the type to hide his attraction from you, he doesn’t see any point in hiding it. He also doesn’t really need to work up the courage for it, so he’ll ask you out pretty early on.

Before he does ask you out though, there are a lot of little hints that can tell you that he’s attracted.

The biggest one is that he wants to spend more time with you. He strikes up more conversations with you, and he’s clearly pretty happy whenever he gets a chance to speak to you.

Medic:

Surprisingly, he actually gets kind of awkward about it before you two start dating. It’s because he gets in this “I can’t let my feelings get in the way of my work” mindset, but he honestly can’t help himself.

He’ll start to get a little nervous around you; He’ll get flustered easily, often averting eye contact, chuckling nervously, and changing the subject to his work from time to time. It’s cause he honestly doesn’t know what to do, it’s the first time he doesn’t have 100% confidence about something.

Sniper:

Kinda like Medic, he gets kinda anxious and pretty awkward about it. He’s probably not the type to admit he’s into you until it’s been a long while and he just can’t keep it in anymore lmao

The biggest clue is that he gets a little flustered and awkward around you. It’s not very obvious, but he stumbles over his words from time to time, and blushes if you sit next to him n stuff.

Spy:

The thing about Spy is that he has never had a relationship that wasn’t mostly or entirely physical, so the fact that he’s legitimately fallen for someone in a way that isn’t just physical makes him nervous. He KNOWS he’s not supposed to fall for you, but he just can’t help it, and that scares him.

Scout:

He literally has no clue what to do

Honestly, his education was really poor. He's a high school dropout, and the public education he did receive wasn't high quality. So he's not gonna understand a lot of higher education concepts that aren't common sense.

Scout's pretty embarrassed about it. He's gonna pretend he understands your project and knows how to help you, but it becomes really clear that he doesn't understand.

He'd really appreciate if you just guide him through what you need help with, without making fun of or pointing out the fact that he doesn't understand.

He's surprisingly good with visual stuff though, so he'll be a great helper if it's something like an art project.

Demo:

Demo does have a significant amount of higher education, but his strength is obviously in the sciences. He's fantastic at helping you with things like experiments and is pretty good with mathematics and even some history, but if your project is on something like language or politics, he's not gonna be of much help.

He's still happy to provide help whenever you need it, though he'll sheepishly bring up his lack of knowledge if he doesn't know about or doesn't understand the subject.

He's a great person to talk to about chemistry. He'll basically be your personal tutor if you want him to lol, and it's fascinating to see how much knowledge he's storing in that noggin of his.

I return from the dead again

He tries to take charge himself sometimes, in an attempt to look like the Big Strong ManTM

It often does not work

Sometimes he feels a little self conscious? He feels like he’s supposed to be like his partner, and if he’s not like that, he’s not a good partner or a real man. It really fucks with him sometimes

He still absolutely adores his partner though, and he admires their determination. He just needs to be validated and told that their dynamic with him doesn’t make him any less of a man, or make him a bad partner.

He and his partner butt heads pretty regularly. He also gets butthurt like 80% of the time, but he’ll get over it.
