When you’re talking about individuals who experience synthetic thought, say that. Don’t say droids/androids. There are cyborgs who experience synthetic thought too.

When you’re talking about bots who are unable to pass as human, don’t just say droids. There are androids who fit into this category as well.

Robosexual has been used for hundreds of years to describe robots attracted to other robots. Botsexual is a term that has popped up in the last few decades as a “more inclusive” alternative to robosexuality.

Robosexual exclusionists claim that “robosexuality” using the term “robot” as a root centres mechanical bots while botsexual is inclusive to androids as well as droids. I personally think this is nonsense, as the term “robot” is, and always has been, an umbrella term for all fully synthetic lifeforms. Plus, “botsexuality” also comes from the term robot, so even if robot WAS an exclusionary term, how would it be any more inclusive to use the shortened version of robot?

A third term, “synthsexual” had recently cropped up in response to that so-called issue.

I’m not super into one team or the other, but I tend to cheer for the Zarbungen.

People love to stigmatize synthetics and demonize cybernetics as if cybernetics aren’t lifesaving for many organics.

“We’ve never achieved true eeznorbism!” It doesn’t matter. The reason we haven’t, also, is that it would be impossible to achieve a real eeznorbist society.

If you are monogamous and do not want a nurse to be involved in your mating, PLEASE! DO NOT use manufactured lubricant! It may seem like a cheap and easy way to take the nurse out of the equation, but it can have lasting side effects on your child’s health.

Manufactured lubricants do not contain the genetic material that a nurse would bring into the equation. You may think this is fine, since the amount of DNA a nurse contributes is negligible, but this is incorrect. Nurse DNA contributes to biodiversity and can replace faulty genes that can cause various genetic disorders and conditions. If you want to reproduce without a nurse, it’s best to get lubricant donated by a real nurse, not the manufactured kind that lacks DNA.
