      “I’m glad— hopefully this means y’won’t have to keep cooped up in some mangy motel room anymore,” he chuckled out before biting into the jerky to help alleviate the hunger he was getting from using his powers.

       “Really, thank you so much. It’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. How can I repay you?”

“Good. We can’t have my reputation at stake..” Tristan would never live down that he’d been caught not only singing, but dancing along to Taylor Swift.

“So what do I call this Taylor Swift fanboy, then?”

“It’s not the cops.” Oh how she wished it were just the police. “It’s just these people I’d rather not face.” Joyce said calmly.

“That’s good...I mean it’s not good about you know, but it’s good that it isn’t the cops. Sorry, I’m rambling. You can stay here as long as you like.”

“I am actually.. my coffee my mess…” he kneels down beside you and starts cleaning up as well, of course he had sort of forgotten you was dead so the shiver that run through him after he accidentally brushed against your arm was unexpected and made him drop the piece of mug he had just picked up causing it to break and him to cut his finger “Ouch!” he sticks his finger in his mouth as he sits back from you and the mess “Told you I was clumsy too” he chuckles as he gets back to his feet to deal with his now bleeding finger

“Are you alright? Let me see that.” she says, standing up to take a look. “Oh, it’s not too bad. I’ve got my first aid kit if you want me to patch it up for you. I am a nurse after all.” she adds with a small laugh.

       “When did you move?” Julia took the coffee from the woman with a “thanks,” moving to sit on the nearest couch. “I’m Julia, by the way.”

         “I uhh...” she frowned slightly, struggling to remember. “It must have been a week ago, maybe? I’m not sure.” She sat down on another seat. “I’m Tessa.”

“I drink my coffee black actually.”

“Perfect. Same.” she says, handing him his mug.

“Wasn’t judging. Just sounds like something you might want to start complaining about.”

“I’ve tried. The manager just ignores me.”

To be greatly honest, Garrett wasn’t all that easy to get along with. Her experience was not unique, although his experience with her may be far more unique, since he doesn’t encounter ghosts that often.

         “What brought you here anyway? Business?”

“You’re welcome” he offers you a friendly smile “I’m going to give you a minute or two to ponder that while I clean up the coffee mess.. and then we can talk about what we’re going to do about the whole double booked room thing.. okay?” 

“You’re not serious are you? Why should you be the one to clean it up? It’s alright, I’ll do it.” she says, already starting to pick up the broken pieces.
