Figment of the Ocean's Imagination

I'm part of the Changeling Artist Collect and we're having an art auction this week here! The theme is Star Dust and I've got two of my small watercolors available.

She started off as a mermaid but somewhere in the sketching process her tail vanished and she became the Lady of the Lake. Watercolor, 4x6in. This piece will be the print heading out to Patrons in August! I'm having a print sale, take a look! :)

Spring time bee! Last week the milkweed bloomed and I managed to get outside before all the flowers fell off in a storm. I'm having a print sale here!

Arrival Before Spring - painted this back in March :) It's 8x23 inches and had been a while since I'd painted something bigger than an 8x12. Watercolor on paper. I've got prints on my site (and until June 15th, a print sale)

Color tests I had to do with some new paint. The warm earthy color is probably a new favorite of mine. Mixes really well with viridian or pinks and purples.

last week i sat outside next to one of my gardens to paint flowers. This is a beardtongue foxglove. had a little dead skipper sized butterfly on one of the flowers that i first thought was one of the flowers.
