Vaughan looked up and forced a smile.  “I’m fine, Terran, don’t worry about it.”  He shook his head and slid his phone into his pocket.  “Ideological disagreements at work, that’s all.  Nothing to worry about.”  He walked closer, since he hadn’t spoken to his cousin in a while.  “How are you?”

Terran watched his cousin for a moment as he saw the forced smile. “If you want to talk, I’m here to listen, Sir.” He sipped at his drink again before petting Persephone’s head as the Bull Terrier rested it on his leg. “I’m alright. Catching up on some reading and just relaxing after finals.”

I have a lot of anxiety with school.” He watched her for a moment then as his smile got wider. “It really is. Our dogs are loving the yard and having their own space and so am I.”
