I just realized that the reason ghosts say Boo! is because it’s a latin verb

they’re literally saying ‘I alarm/I am alarming/I do alarm!!

Despite the fact that I am not deaf, mute, or blind myself, one of the most common questions I receive is how to portray characters with these disabilities in fiction.

🔥 Moon in Aries: argues with their mum every time u come over. has 0% patience. can’t keep a secret to save their life. honest to a fault and won’t let u live!! sore loser. the classic angry drunk. gives really aggressive pep talks. can never sit still and always has to be doing something. has no qualms about naming and shaming u if they get hurt. if it doesn’t involve immediate gratification they’re not interested.

🌹 Moon in Taurus: eats more than anyone u know. everything they like is a guilty pleasure. honestly quite content w/ living the rest of their life on the dl. will devote every inch of their being to making sure that everything in their life stays the same because Change Is The Enemy. rarely gets upset but if u test them it’s ur funeral lol. invented the concept of ‘self-care’. the ‘nice but blatantly problematic grandparent’. always seems to be doing okay. 

🗣 Moon in Gemini: y’all talk too damn much!! always ready to spill the tea but they’ll do it in a way where u can’t trace them back as the original source. impulsively talks about their feelings on the internet and then deletes the post within a matter of seconds. everything they say is so liberally doused in sarcasm it’s hard to tell if they’re joking or if it’s a genuine cry for help. actually good at small talk but doesn’t really care for it. clickbait in person. 

🍼 Moon in Cancer: a massive fucking nerd. likes to be babied/be the one who’s doing the babying. settles for less than they should and falls in love w/ their own pain. craves stability but always ends up latching onto unreliable people who leave them feeling emotionally drained and unfulfilled. holds a grudge like nobody’s business. acts tough but everyone knows they’re a mess so they should stop trying so hard. Dad Jokes for days. “*sobbing* fight me”

🤳 Moon in Leo: really thinks they’re the shit. always doing The Most™. probably fans themselves when they cry. physically cannot keep it in their pants. u have to admit they’re pretty good at whatever they do (bc they’re obsessed w/ being the best). never admits when they’re wrong. has like 50+ ‘best’ friends. uses memes to describe emotions. refuses to get over it. their life is just never-ending drama. checks themselves out every chance they get. 

🎀 Moon in Virgo: sees right through all ur bullshit. always busy. really doesn’t need to be stressing out about half the things they’re stressing out about. begrudgingly lets you copy their homework. will never admit that they need help. still haunted by that one bad mark they got like 10 years ago. u know they’re right but they’re really fucking annoying about it. stationery whore. ur probably taking them for granted.

💅 Moon in Libra: will do anything for that aesthetic™. forever weighing up how much love they’re giving and how much they’re getting back. queens of being petty. calls u out on ur shit but u never realise ur being called out. screenshots every conversation they have with u so they can annihilate ur ass when the time is right. lives for drama but won’t ever get actively involved in it. serial monogamist. writes death threats in cursive. 

🐍 Moon in Scorpio: DRAMATIC AS FUCK!!!! won’t stfu about being a scorpio moon. remembers every damn time someone jokingly insulted them. thinks they’re misunderstood but they never actually bother to clear things up or clarify how they’re really feeling. knows what ur thinking at any given time. has a weird power complex and goes to insane lengths to be in control in any situation. good luck unlocking their Tragic Backstory™. 

📢 Moon in Sagittarius: smarter than u think. puts too much faith into everything they read on the internet. goes off on a philosophical rant every 5 seconds and doesn’t realise that no one understands or cares. interprets the most insignificant things as ‘signs from the universe’. is never prepared for anything. suddenly turns into a Motivational Speaker every time u come to them with an emotional problem. obnoxiously over-pronounces foreign words.  

🔎 Moon in Capricorn: every emotion is heavily scrutinised before being processed through a paper shredder. always going through something and no one can talk about it or it’ll push them off the edge. infinitely more accomplished than u. never knows what to do when someone’s having a breakdown. their idea of taking a risk is buying tissues from a different brand. probably thinks freeloading is the moral equivalent of armed robbery. 

👽 Moon in Aquarius: knows something u don’t. mostly chill but occasionally goes completely off their rocker. identifies with anyone who’s touted as a ‘misfit’. leaves u on read. thinks they’re above human emotion. sometimes an sjw, other times just doesn’t really care what’s going on. always puts their phone on airplane mode then gets cranky when they’re not invited out somewhere. will deliberately butt heads with u out of sheer spite. shameless jaywalking.

Aries Moon: Disappointment, defeat/failure, not feeling good enough, getting last place, anger, frustration, limitations, injustice, guilt

Taurus Moon: When they’re hungry, when they’re drained, when they’ve bottled up their feelings for too long, animal cruelty, rejection, feeling alone, being proven wrong

Gemini Moon: Talking about their feelings, lack of intellectual stimuli, lack of ways of self-expression

Cancer Moon: Sad movies, other people’s pain, family issues, cruelty of any kind, emotional music, receiving criticism, hurt/sick children

Leo Moon: Losing an argument, not feeling good enough, hurt pride, animal cruelty, not knowing how to comfort others, bullying/humiliation, the thought of aging/dying, when they’re at their breaking point, being a third wheel, being ignored

Virgo Moon: Other people’s pain, self-reflection, animal cruelty, will cry for joy before crying for sadness, when plans change, betrayal, not feeling good enough, making mistakes at work, stress, feeling incompetent 

Libra Moon: Being overwhelmed, anger, being ignored, frustration, sad movies, relationship issues, other people’s pain

Scorpio Moon: Self-defeating attitudes, aggression directed at them, being yelled at, being overwhelmed, rejection, having to repeat themselves, animal cruelty

Sagittarius Moon: Other people’s pain, being overwhelmed, feeling alienated or alone, anything that has to do with them, having to express their emotions in words, anger

Capricorn Moon: Family issues, music, sad movies, animal cruelty, not having access to money, having fewer hours at work, not being taken seriously

Aquarius Moon: Pretty much nothing.

What a cruel, sadistic notion to revel in! What a terrible, patriarchal response to a child’s budding sense of ethics. Announce to an Iroquois, ‘Life isn’t fair,’ and her response will be: ‘Then make it fair!
