Teresa shrugged a little. “I don’t see people around here all that often.”

“I don’t like to piss out in the open. You don’t know what will come up behind you.” He looked around then looked at the other. “Where did you even come from?”

“You can be pretty sure of whatever the hell you like, kiddo. I’m having you end up shot because you wanted to show off. Waste of a bullet.”

Teresa just shrugged. "Alright, whatever,” she replied, honestly kind of glad that she hadn’t tried it. She fought off someone who tried to shoot her before so she knew she could do it, but really, it would have been stupid to risk it again. 

"Because I’m pretty damn sure I’m a hell of a lot faster than you. I could disarm you before you pulled the trigger easily.”

“Alright.” It was clear from Reggie’s voice that she was disinterested in being insulted based on her people watching skills. She hadn’t shot at or attacked the other because she’d been trying to check that the girl was, in fact, a walker. Based on that, Reggie thought she was doing just fine.

“So, you got anything else you wanna add or are you gonna quit bothering me now?” She asked. 

“Thank you…” Reaching out for the fabric with one of her shaky hands, Charlie did her best to wipe the blood from her hands, though it left them red and stained, at least until she’d be able to scrub them with soap and water. Once her hands were as clean as possible, she did her best to wipe it off the rest of her, forcing her breaths to be deep and even, unwilling to panic again at the feeling of the heavy stickiness against her skin and through the now clinging fabric of her shirt.

“You got spark kid. Too bad the world has a quick way of extinguishing that these days.” He smiled almost threateningly.

“I’m trying to say that if you wear a hoodie and hide your face, everyone looks dead.”

Teresa just shrugged a little. “You’re clearly not watching people properly then.”

“So you’re telling me that you want me to shoot you between the eyes?” Elliot narrowed her eyes, seeing through the girl’s game, but wondering where she was going with it. 

“And shoot a kid between the eyes? I’m good. But I appreciate your balls.” 

“Not so sure that you could do that but whatever,” she responded with a small shrug. Antagonising the other probably wasn’t the best idea but for some reason, Teresa just couldn’t stop herself. 

Teresa grimaced a little at the sigh of the other’s hands covered in blood- not just blood, old blood. Normally she’d just tell her to man up but even she would hate that. So, Teresa pulled her bag off her shoulders and opened it before pulling out a thin hoodie. It had so many holes at this point it probably wouldn’t have even done her any good anyway. “Wipe your hands on this,” she said, holding the jacket out to the other girl. 

“What if I am? What are you going to do?”

“You wanna try it and find out?”

“How old are you like twelve? Watch your mouth when you’re speaking to older, stronger people. And for the record, I wasn’t following you, we just happened to be headed the same direction.”

“Don’t tell me to watch my mouth,” she responded, folding her arms across her chest now. “Sure, whatever you say.”

“You wish, kiddo. We’re just going the same way, so chill the fuck out.”

“Don’t tell me to chill the fuck out. How am I supposed to know you’re not about to try and jump me, huh?”
