A Young Volcano

Oh! How adorable, how it made her heart skip how he looked around him looking for the missing word, she couldn’t really explain why it made her feel like that but — she was proud of him, knowing how much struggle he had with both english and spanish. 

Though, she chuckled while walking, waving her hand up and down in a dismissive way. ❝ Ooooh, you underestimate me, Mr. Santos! This time I come stronger, I come with strategies! I have a plan, a man— woman with a plan!❞ Follows a silly grin on her lips, looking around and then glancing at the list. The things they needed weren’t many, but——

 ❝Ahhhhhh!❞ she probably smelled it before seeing it, even.  ❝ Freshly baked bread! Croissants! Mignons! And look—- this croissant– is filled with ham & cheese! How innovative! ❞ Of course, it wasn’t stuff on the list. But it was food. Someone stop her.  ❝I wonder if they have new flavors in the ice-cream aisle—- ❞

   In his reply comes a hum, breathed through his nostrils. If she was a man with a plan he was a man of few words. Not that he had to explain it or fill in the silences --- most of the times, SHE handled it and by this time their boundaries were known. Even his and how there simply wasn’t a THING he had to add to the conversation.

      “Heeyy hey hey. Stay in your stockings.” hand almost out of HABIT reached to grab her tiny wrist and hold her back before it was too LATE && he had lost her.

    ( look, I’m trying to be reasonable and an actual adult here. I want the crap food as much as you do but we have the shopping list for a REASON. )

❝ Cellphone? — Check. Keys? — Check. Wallet? — Yes, check, too.  ❞ A determined expression on her face, huffing through her nose while clenching her ( tiny, tiny ) fist .  ❝ We’re ready, Capo. We’re ready for waaar! We’re going to fight! We’re going to win! ❞ Waving the list she had like a flag, pouting almost. They were just in front of their local supermarket to do some grocery shopping, but… experience told them that it was a mess all the times. 

        "You think? Are you SURE we’re gonna survive without any...” pausing for a mere moment, looking for the word, his smile disappearing to make room for his concentration “--- without any INJURIES.”

    a pair of his OWN keys chimed in his hands, clinging together as they made home in his pocket. Lips curled up soon to the familiar smile. “Eileen, CHECK.”  Literally, the male had to keep check on her so she wouldn’t WANDER OFF --- it was something he could bet on happening. copying her way of memorisation && patting her shoulder, ENCOURAGING to get her tiny feet up and going.              

                             ( let’s GO, I don’t want this to drag on the whole day. )
