July’s male character, the voice of Fuduki Kai: Interview with Hatano Wataru-san

Q. Please tell us your impressions of the recording. 

A. “Beast Master” is a song that breaks down the character’s image that has been had up until now. For Fuduki Kai, I think this is personally the first time that he’s challenged this type of genre. I tried to go all out, but it felt quite difficult singing it in such a wavering way. (???) Previously I had sung powerful songs, and although there are many ways to listen to the feelings of a ballad, this time it’s a song that that expresses the scope of an adult, and the song kind of has a Western-like atmosphere to it. Although it’s obvious that that you’d listen to it from the beginning to the end, the song [itself] is almost like a single drama being acted out. Within the middle of the song it turns into a single base, and with the story’s complete development and the changes in the expressions, singing it was extremely fun.

Ono Daisuke has left Mouse Productions and has gone freelance

following in similar footsteps as fellow former Mouse Production seiyuu Hosoya Yoshimasa.

I wish him all the best, but I’m pretty sure he’ll be more than fine solo.  In fact I think he’ll fly even higher.

With the news of Matsuki Miyu’s death (from acute pneumonia) spreading, from Tatsu’s latest blog (http://tatsuhisasuzuki.sakura.ne.jp/diary/?p=2824) to Suwabe-san’s tweet (https://twitter.com/my_murmur/status/661071893332529152) from Hatano Wataru, Komatsu Mikako to Kobayashi Yusuke and Inoue Marina, it’s clear that she was someone who will be remembered fondly, warmly. She was only 38 years old.

Personally Tatsu’s blog almost broke me at my desk. And now on the way home when I came across Suwabe-san’s tweet I thought “that’s it, the dam is broken.”

I’ve only heard her in a few roles, but it’s going to be hard for awhile whenever I hear her voice. I’m going to miss hearing her in Cherry Bell episodes.

I even came across a translation of 1 line from one of her last blog posts that was along the lines of, “Once I’m cured of this sickness, I’ll seriously try and get married.” This really broke my heart.

During the Full Metal Panic! stage event at this year’s “Fantasia Bunko Big Thanksgiving 2015″ even on Saturday, it was revealed that a new anime series for Full Metal Panic! is underway. Further details will be announced at a later date.

I dropped by at Square Enix the other day during my spare time at work, and other than saying hello to the FF15 team that I’ve been involved with, I also took a peek into their development progress.

They let me try various contents that will be showed at the upcoming exhibition – at the Tokyo Game Show, and those contents that haven’t been out yet.

“Let me play the gameplay video that you gonna use at the coming presentation,” I selfishly uttered something like that while watching the video.

As I expected, it is fun to watch the production taking its shape.

Also, I’m glad to see that while it seems hard for everyone involved in making the game, they seem to be enjoying it as well.

No matter what kind of product, ideas and skills from various people are being packed into it. With that in mind, I’m always become interested in credit rolls. It’s because it’s something that I make together with them.

Anyway, sometimes I would be called by the character name in productions that I’m involved with, but there are times when I meet everyone in the FF15 team and for some reason, they’d call me “Prince.”

Well, certainly I am a prince.

But while it’s true that I am a prince, I think it’s better if people stop calling me “Prince” when having conversation somewhere else.

Misunderstanding would definitely be brewing among those around me.
