Listen, I know most people get intimidated very very quickly by extensive rules pages-but there’s a reason roleplayers write those rules pages as they do. They’ve had too many peoplenot read them, breaking them repeatedly ( and some just out right not caring. ) and just disrespecting them as a person in general. They’re very tired of it, having been through it so fucking many times and honestly it’s ridiculous.

More often than not, that roleplayer is actually a very chill person-when you respect them, they respect you. It is a two way street.

And besides that, rules pages often contain very important information-Like a list of whatever may trigger them/they don’t wish to see on their dash. Do yourself a favor and at least read the pages. And if you’re on mobile and an’t access that fancy coded page/popup, ask them in the IMs or ask box instead. More often than not, they’ll drop a general list of what’s okay and what’s not-and for you to look over whenever you need to.

I’ve been seeing this a lot lately and I understand if people get miffed about it. I would be too. And I think it’s a good call to try and interact with folks by calling attention to it.

Just try and talk to the people you follow, even if you don’t think they’d be interested in rping ( provided you follow their rules on contact, mutuals, ect ). Maybe they wanna rp? Maybe they don’t.
