as someone who was in BMT [Basic Military Training] for the airforce,you got the usage of the calls right. good job!

The Tornado Tamers (aka Kate, Jeb, Addy, Praveen, and Javi) definitely all dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween one year in college for some costume contest or something. It’s nothing that hasn’t been done before at a school located in Oklahoma that is known for their meteorology program, but they just executed it so well. Like they’re not just cheap costumes they bought at some Halloween store, they’re some sort of DIY but executed in such a way that it incredibly unique.

Communication is so important to Javi, like Storm PAR jokingly calls him a helicopter dad because he has this almost-constant need to know where every person is at every moment in time (and maybe because he dabbled with helicopters in the military). Like every truck and most other pieces of their equipment have their own trackers connected to an app on their phones. And then before they separate for the night they have a brief meeting to go over the game plan for the next day, and then he’ll send a follow up text before going to bed that summarizes that discussion.

A lot of storm chasers don’t just go after tornados. In fact, a large amount of them also go after hurricanes. Kate and Tyler are hands down the tornado-whisperers, but what if Javi’s specialty is hurricanes?

What if Javi didn’t leave the military entirely, instead coming off Active Duty and going into the Reserves. After the events of the movie Storm Par is disbanded and Javi didn’t really have anything lined up, so he made the decision that he would return to Active Duty. He breaks the news to Kate and the Tornado Wranglers who are all shocked and honestly pretty disappointed he didn’t want to stay with them. Javi had always felt like a bit of an outsider so he never knew they wanted him to stay and Kate is obviously beyond devastated.

We know Javi was in the military and according to the fandom wiki he was in the US Army. I personally can’t remember what he said in the movie, but there really isn’t a whole lot of meteorological roles in the Army as they work closely with the Air Force to get their weather information. Realistically speaking, Javi was likely a USAF Weather Officer.

Kate and Javi and their team loved those storm chaser parking lot parties. Javi would play his guitar and Addie would leap to her feet, dragging Kate along with her. Jeb was easily persuaded by Kate and it was only a matter of time before they convinced a reluctant Praveen to join them. They would sing and dance and laugh well into the night.

I recently learned about Anthony’s inflatable cow he named Nancy and now I need Javi having a pet miniature cow named Nancy.
