“I feel like I know that everybody has busy lives so I do feel the need to explain what I’m doing, because it’s not normal. Basically, I’ve always wanted to own my music since I started making my music. Most of your favorite artists do not own their music. The music industry is [groans], at least certain corners of it. But I think there was something that happened years ago where I made it very clear that I wanted to buy my music, but that opportunity was not given to me and it was sold to somebody else, so I just figured I was the one who made the music first, and I can just make it again. So that’s what we’re doing! So when something says in parentheses (Taylor’s Version) next to it, that means I own it, which is exciting!”

“I met [Jonathan Majors] and I just want to say he seems like one of the coolest people on earth. I think everyone needs to watch [SNL] and his work is obviously incredible, but I just get such a real, good—he’s abnormally talented, normal personality. Those people are unicorns, just special people. So I didn’t get any advice from anyone when I was hosting, which is weird because I was 19 so I should have been given advice. A number of people should’ve called me! But I think it’ll be amazing. I’m so happy to get to be there, to perform, to sing. I haven’t played with my band in years and we all find it hard not to cry that we get to play together. We’re all like ‘Did you make it through that?’ We’re in rehearsal embarrassing ourselves, so it’s just a dream.”
