I tried my best trying to split Robbie's features away from Robert's to create Hyun-Ae (and also to saturate the Asianness in our canonical Robert design).

It's spacious, it's always warm, and rarely used, since Flambae thinks it's a good idea to sleep in his car. Just in case he needs to be on shift. Robert has since banned that.

But above everything else, it’s comfy. It is expensive, but it’s lived in. Like its a person in another way.

Blankets everywhere. Discarded papers with Prism’s lyric draft scattered about, scribbled with colorful gel pens that smell like sweet vodka syrup. He bought her 10 more packs, just in case.

Coop’s books stacked around in his living room. Punch Up’s workout clothes next to Flambae’s in his gym. Most of Sonar’s streams happen in Chad’s basement, which he did refurbished just for that.

Maybe.

Clearly, Robert isn't invited. Clearly, he doesn't have an issue with it. Obviously. He'd just prefer, maybe, they don't talk about how awesome this place is over comms all the time.

Prism, — who thought Robert was invited and just declined out of nonchalance, — is so sick of this bullshit. She would absolutely have a spare key. And they absolutely crash when Chad isn't home.

Robert has multiple marks:

A pair of dark feathers, aligned where neck meets collarbone. Devotion. That would be Coop.

A rose on his dominant arm, that always burns a little hotter when he fights. Perseverance. Colm smiles when he sees it.

He has bat wings wrapped around his left leg. Happiness. Vic thinks it’s sappy, but Robert thinks he likes it.

A star constellation on his back, golden and warm, just at the meridian of his shoulders. It glows in the dark, sometimes, and changes to blue at night. Transformation.

Mandy thinks it’s fitting.

Under his left ear, right below the bullet hole, he has pink and blue music notes. Innovation.

Prism likes it, but they’re not in the correct order. “How do I know that and destiny doesn’t?”

For his enemy soulmark, maybe he has red bullets, following the veins on his right arm. Hatred.

But there’s a phoenix, faded but stubborn, wings spreading under his chest as it falls down, right over his heart. That one particularly saddens him.

Love.

The only visible marks Flambae has are on his wrists. and that’s where he feels like showing people. He’s proud of them, but they’re his.

On his right wrist, there’s a blade. On his left, stupidly enough, a tooth. They both mean change.

One for Mecha Man, one for Robert. One of them is supposed to be an enemy. The other a lover.
