A spread and the cover of Rocco Deluca’s “Mercy” album packaging. Photo by Daniel Lanois. Illustration by Stephen Borasch. This album was super fun to design. Rocco came over and we stayed up late at 2HeadedHorse and made a bunch of cool pages. I will dig up more and update.

Here’s another iPhone photo with a plastic gel. I turned the flash on to give me the discoloration on the left side. Looks like a Snapseed filter.

I think this is the 3rd TransWorld cover  I designed. That’s Mike Vallely shot by Miki Vuckovich. I remember staying up late and stapling the heck out of that masking tape border. Back then we didn’t actually have the hi-res scans ... just a low-res “APR” that would automatically replace when it output ... so there is a crappy clipping path inside the border with no shadow or anything. This is before I realized I could simply request a hi-res scan. Green Alabama kid designing the biggest skate mag on the planet.
