Kodai has the ability to manipulate, control and connect with anything technological. (Simple metal objects without any technology arenât considered part of this, it has to have some sort of wiring or technological element). This is in fact a very useful quirk, as it can be used to manipulate technological items into weapons, shields, or whatever else he needs, though it takes a short time to reassemble things into the shapes he needs for each purpose. He can also send such objects flying at opponents as projectiles. The more advanced the technology, the better his ability works.
His quirk is both combat and passive, since he can also use his sort of interfacing part of his ability to âlistenâ to devices to gain information from them. However this takes time and he also must be touching the device in question.
When creating or reassembling objects into new shapes, or using them as weapons or for defense, he connects to them via his fingertips, and when it his quirk is active, he has purplish-pink âstringsâ of kinetic energy that are what allow him to move the objects around. He cannot control or manipulate objects further than 15 feet away from himself. His eyes also get the same pinkish purple glow when using any part of his quirkâs abilities.
Quirk Downside: If there is no technology in range, his abilities are useless (which is why he usually keeps lots of little items stashed on his person, and if you need a flash drive or wires, or something else, he usually has some). Since his abilities are mostly connected to his hands, if they end up broken, or badly injured, it can render his abilities either null or much weaker. He also is not immune to electricity or being electrocuted, despite having a technological based quirk.
Summarized Personality Traits: Self confidence for days, can come across rather cocky and assertive, and not really bothered what others think of him. Doesnât think he has anything to prove, he knows what his own strengths are. Usually seen lounging back, and if thereâs nothing interesting going on, heâs usually minding his own business, but he loves to be the center of attention, so if thereâs something happening, heâs probably in the middle of it. Heâs not overly confrontational, and doesnât really go around looking for a fight, but heâll happily fight someone if they ask him to. Heâs always happy to show off. Unfortunately, because he likes being flashy, heâs not always the best at teamwork.

Kodai is incredibly smart, partly due to his quirk, and his ability to connect and interface with technology. He can understand complex math and computer coding, as well as physics, however not all of it is innate. Stuff like languages and other such things he had to spend time and effort learning, because it was relevant to his quirk (as far as understanding information).
He is gay, but he doesnât really feel the need to bring it up unless itâs relevant. He has no issues saying it though, and if the topic comes up, he will openly admit it, and show absolutely no shame in it.
He can be rather spontaneous and spur of the moment, and is easily distracted by new ideas involving technology. He is also subscribed to almost every technological and scientific sort of magazine that exists.
He can sometimes come off a bit creepy when using his abilities, but he really just gets super into it, and gets a little tech crazed. (In other words: Despite the creepy grin, he is in fact completely sane.)
He is often reckless, and scrapes himself out of dangerous situations by the skin of his teeth and because of quick thinking. Heâs very creative and flexible combatively, and able to change his plans and directions at a split second notice.

Things his quirk CAN do (this is from the standpoint of him as a student at U.A. and still in training):
Take apart and rebuild anything technological (computers, phones, vending machines, even cars) using his kinetic abilities.
Take over robots and machinery, and make it do what he tells it to (this he has to be touching it constantly for it to work if he is âspeakingâ to it, or within 15 feet if he is only using the kinetic ability like a puppeteer.)
Use his telekinetic abilities to create shields, weapons, or send projectiles at opponents.
Create new, advanced technology (by assembling it with his quirk) (this includes stuff like hoverboards that actually work, or other similar things).
Read information and âspeakâ to technogical objects (computers, phones, coffee makers, basically anything with some sort of binary language). (This can and does fall under the umbrella of hacking, however he canât just break through firewalls or super encrypted stuff that easily. The more encryption, the longer it takes for him to read things.) It can also mean telling a coffee machine what coffee he wants made, or telling the air conditioner to turn itself on or off, and what temperature.
Things his quirk can NOT do:
Transfer information from one source to another telepathically (he still has to download information to a physical device to transfer it).
Manipulate or control anything that doesnât have wiring and some sort of âsmartâ factor (like a computer chip).
Control objects or bring them to himself if they are more than 15 feet away from him.
Read or âhackâ into things without keeping his hand physically touching them. If his hand is forced to stop touching the object, he loses his connection to it instantaneously, and has to start over again.
