🚨 If you live in NV, GA, or NC you can cure your ballot from a mistake that caused it to be rejected! And these links will teach you how to help others do that in your state! The first virtual training start in the afternoon of 11/4.
Proud of everyone for hanging in there. Let’s check our ballots and maybe literally for our i’s and cross our t’s now.
đź’śđź—ł
Perfect accidental example of not dotting your i’s. You may need to check and cure your ballot by Friday, so don’t wait. NV and I believe GA are meant to be proactive about calling you so check / don’t ignore weird local numbers this week.
Check your ballot:

I can’t stop laughing at Carrie being told “NO” by Mark. Also, Harrison Always Knows Best.
This is from a documentary called “From Star Wars to Jedi” released in 1983. Thanks @wookieekisses because I found that bit thanks to your post!
They’re figuring out the beats of the scene –while Harrison is tied up–.
So what Mark said about them basically having to make everything up themselves (with Harrison as impromptu leader) is true.
Together, You Can Redeem the Soul of Our Nation
By John Lewis
Published in the New York Times, July 30, 2020
While my time here has now come to an end, I want you to know that in the last days and hours of my life you inspired me. You filled me with hope about the next chapter of the great American story when you used your power to make a difference in our society. Millions of people motivated simply by human compassion laid down the burdens of division. Around the country and the world you set aside race, class, age, language and nationality to demand respect for human dignity.
That is why I had to visit Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, though I was admitted to the hospital the following day. I just had to see and feel it for myself that, after many years of silent witness, the truth is still marching on.
Emmett Till was my George Floyd. He was my Rayshard Brooks, Sandra Bland and Breonna Taylor. He was 14 when he was killed, and I was only 15 years old at the time. I will never ever forget the moment when it became so clear that he could easily have been me. In those days, fear constrained us like an imaginary prison, and troubling thoughts of potential brutality committed for no understandable reason were the bars.
Though I was surrounded by two loving parents, plenty of brothers, sisters and cousins, their love could not protect me from the unholy oppression waiting just outside that family circle. Unchecked, unrestrained violence and government-sanctioned terror had the power to turn a simple stroll to the store for some Skittles or an innocent morning jog down a lonesome country road into a nightmare. If we are to survive as one unified nation, we must discover what so readily takes root in our hearts that could rob Mother Emanuel Church in South Carolina of her brightest and best, shoot unwitting concertgoers in Las Vegas and choke to death the hopes and dreams of a gifted violinist like Elijah McClain.
Like so many young people today, I was searching for a way out, or some might say a way in, and then I heard the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on an old radio. He was talking about the philosophy and discipline of nonviolence. He said we are all complicit when we tolerate injustice. He said it is not enough to say it will get better by and by. He said each of us has a moral obligation to stand up, speak up and speak out. When you see something that is not right, you must say something. You must do something. Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself.
Ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting in what I call good trouble, necessary trouble. Voting and participating in the democratic process are key. The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.
You must also study and learn the lessons of history because humanity has been involved in this soul-wrenching, existential struggle for a very long time. People on every continent have stood in your shoes, though decades and centuries before you. The truth does not change, and that is why the answers worked out long ago can help you find solutions to the challenges of our time. Continue to build union between movements stretching across the globe because we must put away our willingness to profit from the exploitation of others.
Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring.
When historians pick up their pens to write the story of the 21st century, let them say that it was your generation who laid down the heavy burdens of hate at last and that peace finally triumphed over violence, aggression and war. So I say to you, walk with the wind, brothers and sisters, and let the spirit of peace and the power of everlasting love be your guide.
Mr. Lewis, the civil rights leader who died on July 17, wrote this essay shortly before his death, to be published upon the day of his funeral.

Issue #4: The last one (until April)
This season was one of my favorites– and definitely one of my favorites to draw.
Made using Storyboarder; Audio belongs to Rusty Quill
Well, episode 159 of TMA killed me dead and I needed to do SOMETHING to express my feelings, so I gave storyboarding a try? Not too bad for roughly a week of work, I hope ;v
This was my first time ever trying something like this, so it’s. admittedly little rough in places, and I’ve honestly gotten a bit burned out by it for now, even though I wanted to do the last chunk of the episode as well… So it’s still technically a WIP, but I figured I should share what I managed to get done!
The Eye Opens
In broad strokes, what is The Magnus Archives about? Your posts make me intrigued but confused, and yet, I do love a good podcast...
The two sentence version? It’s a horror story disguised as a horror anthology. You go in expecting the Twilight Zone, but eventually it becomes Hannibal. The actual premise is something like this: Jonathan Sims is the newly promoted Head Archivist of the Magnus Archives, part of a private institute that studies and collects paranormal research. ( The last Head Archivist is….still missing. But we don’t talk about that.) Part of Jon’s job is organizing decades’ worth of written statements taken from members of the public–statements about paranormal encounters–and making digital copies, hence the conceit of the podcast: every episode is Jon reading us a new statement, so every episode is a mini horror story. As things go on, though, Jon finds himself in an ongoing horror story of his own. For my money: It’s definitely slow-moving, especially at first, but the larger story is VERY rewarding, and the whole thing is IMMACULATELY plotted. There’s gorgeous writing, very lovable characters, and some nice little shivers of supernatural horror, although tbh I don’t find most of it scarier, than, like, The Scary Episodes of Buffy. There are five million episodes because the creator (confusingly also named Jonathan Sims, because in this one single way the man is a FOOL,) is a brilliant batshit genius who manages to write every single episode AND star in 99% of them and puts them out EVERY WEEK. The creator is careful to avoid sexist and racist tropes in his horror, so it also feels like a pretty “safe” kind of horrifying, if that makes sense. I obviously really love the show, and I recommend it very highly. And finally, a list of random ingredients contained within The Magnus Archives, because this is more or less the kind of thing that got me to listen: -multiple canonically queer characters-including a canonically ace character-a villain who I have repeatedly verbally compared to David Xanatos-evil books-consensual bone removal-a badass elderly woman who saved the world a lot. mostly with the liberal application of c4. occasionally by throwing pseudo-son figures at the nightmares.-an apple full of teeth-another apple full of spiders-a laughing mannequin who wants you to moisturize-a mocking lesbian who can and will melt the flesh from your bones. literally. -a sad laughing monster with knives for hands-a cat named The Admiral -noble self-sacrifice-the word “tingly” -less noble self-sacrifice-the power of friendship-unrequited feelings-an apartment full of meat-worms-soulbonds. not even joking. SOULBONDS.-a sad goth boy impatiently saving people’s lives while on vacation-a cockroach wedding invitation -spiders made a man pick his smoking habit back up
Elias: “It won’t be that bad, Peter. You’ll see. Now, he’ll be here soon, so you can leave or-”
Peter: “Oh no. No. I’m not going to make it easy on him. You haven’t won yet.”
