Technical Stop

Been 10 minutes since the servers were turned off. Still can't give an ETA but I'd say I can get it up within the hour.

Scheduled downtime has started on the database server (Authentication and Logging) therefore the Minecraft Server has been halted until I have migrated to them to a new server. Should last for around 30~ minutes.

Yeah, that is right we are back online...new map, new commands and new features. While I am still working on fixing some new features because of Bukkit have not released a recommended build for 1.0. However, the server is running in 1.0 meaning the latest update is support and working - any bugs to be reported to me and not abused. We also have a new database that allows us to store our authorisation plugin on a different server and our newly implemented anti-griefing plugin, LogBlock too (watch out griefers!).

I am currently downloading the TechLand world - the latest one - which means that it should be alright. Not sure on the Nether thought, but it should work too.

However, even when I get the map(s) downloaded, I'll have to slightly adjust everything to the new server - which has some awesome new features as listed below:

You no longer need to type the port, just "mc.technical-stop.net"

You have a rank next to your name, such as "[Admin] Everlong"

Updated commands

Much, much more RAM - New Plugins?!

You can get coloured usernames by doing things (more to follow)

As stated in the title, I am attempting to restore the map and plugins. So far it is looking alright but expect the server to be done for a bit longer after I get the map/plugins. I will be upgrading the server.

As you may have noticed, there was a large problem with our plugins which led to the server being shutdown. This is because a large use of player mods, which is editing files and "confusing" the server. Only one solution: DON'T DO IT. Due to this, I have to reinstall, configure and manually check EVERY plugin; not exactly fun.

Server will be back soon.

Got any friends that play Minecraft? Invite them to the forums and apply for a whitelist...and BAM! Joined.

Rewards will be given to players who invite the most players. (Friends-of-friends-of-friends only!)

Looks like I got the Permissions plugin sorted (might need a few reloads, no restarts)

But couldn't get our new, DefaultPermissions plugin install sadly, I'll try again later.

Server is going offline (again I know!) for around 10 minutes to update plugins and install a new one.
