Centurio Pattern Shadowsword unit 215 on deployment during the siege of Mandalos IV

More WIP of the Centurio Pattern Shadowsword. Really happy with how the conversion looks with paint on it, kind of looks like an actual GW kit.

Painted the camouflage scheme and completed the weathering (and loving the realism you can achieve with oil paints and pigments)

Had the spare ambot conversion sat around for what seems like forever and finally decided I wanted to do something with it. Since I seem to be on a terrain/display base kick at the moment I decided I wanted to do something abit atmospheric, that also let me play around with different materials, textures and weathering.

So guarding a rusty bridge over the hive sump from some upstart juve. But who knows what it’s guarding?

“Scavengers” A Kroot warband scavenging the wreck of a damaged and abandoned Rogal Dorn battle tank.

This was a really fun project that had been sat in my head for nearly 2 years. It was a challenge learning all the military modelling techniques that I needed to get the tank looking like it had been burnt out by shell fire, then abandoned by the crew during a beach landing. Lots of inspiration from the Sherman’s abandoned on Saipan beach.

This was also my first proper resin pour so i decided to use a deep poor 72hr cure resin so I didn’t have to colour match the layers! The waves were then carved into the top using a grinding bit in my dremmel. Then some snow terrain paste to represent the breaking waves and a coat of gloss varnish.

I’m really happy with how this turned out and it’s taught me a lot I can use on future dioramas

And that’s the counts-as Norn Emissary finished for the mining clan. Kitbashed from an Armiger, a Sentinel, a Leviathan Grav-bombard and the legs from an ironstrider I wanted something the same size as the Emissary, but fitted the mining clan aesthetic.

Still a few more ideas to realise….

With the relegation of the scythed and barbed Hierodules to Legends I had to reassess the models role. Luckily putting it on a 30cm round base means it fits the footprint of a Heirophant so an upgrade was what was needed.

Filled the space with some crew with mining lasers and a kitbashed mini dozer and now she’s done.
