Tea Time 💕

I had some high tea, then went to a local museum, then walked around (passed that church) and visited a plant shop! I also got some bubble tea (not photographed).

I had a pretty good day!

A small review for you.

Tea at The Midland, Manchester.

Price: £28 pp for Traditional Afternoon Tea.

This comes with sandwiches, scones, cakes, and tea.

Food: good but sandwiches are not freshly made to order. Scones are warm. Cakes are delicious and fascinating.

This one looks like a monster when you cut in to it.

Tea pot to cup capacity: 2 and a half cups.

Milk present in the table upon arrival in a nice jug. Lots of it. Not sure what is done with the excess.

Sugar in paper packets.

Provided with 1 mains fork, 1 mains knife, 1 tea spoon, 1 plate, and 1 napkin.

Interesting note: position of teaspoon is correct, which is rare for afternoon tea even in expensive places. (Behind tea cup, handle of spoon in line with handle of cup.)

Tea pot is an excitable pourer. If a tea leaf gets stuck and dislodged it launches tea all over the table.

Nothing to pick up food with except hands and eating utensils. This is sticky when you get to the cakes.

Underside of tea pot was not clean. :(
