Emi's Views on Marriage from Emi Takei Memories

Maybe because I'm watching my parents, marriage doesn't seem that far away. If I meet someone I think I'll be with forever, I think I'll get married right away. I want a marriage partner who is understanding, generous, and kind. Someone who can put themselves last and think about the other person. I feel like I might get along better with someone older. When I have children, I want them to cherish me more than anything, so I think a kind and family-oriented person like my father would be great.

It's not that I'm restricted in my freedom now, but I wonder if, in another 10 years, I'll be a lot more free than I am now? By then, I'd like to get married and have children. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a marriage partner that really grabs me. But, if I meet someone I want to marry, I'd like to get married right away. So, I hope I can find normal happiness by the time I'm 30; 10 years from now. I'd like to have about two children, a boy and a girl. My parents were strict, so I think I'll probably become a strict mother too.

My first love was when I was in elementary school. From the first grade to the fourth grade, there was a boy I had a crush on. He was good at sports and kind, so he was like an idol in the class. He had a sharp face and looked good in red T-shirts and shorts. We lived in the same neighborhood, so when we passed each other, we would wave and say "Bye!". But in fact, we were in love with each other. We were an official couple in the class, but unfortunately, the boy moved away when I was in the fourth grade. I was really sad at that time. He sent me postcards after that. But, when I was in the sixth grade, we happened to pass each other at a local festival. I'm sure he noticed, but we couldn't say anything to each other. It's a precious memory that makes me sad and heart-warming, like a drama.

On March 26th, Saturday, it was announced on EXILE TAKAHIRO's website that his wife, Takei Emi, delivered another child, a healthy baby girl. They married in September 2017 and had their first child in Spring 2018. They now have two daughters!
