Lyn is a higher up in Team Sigma, which rules most of Unova after several ecological disasters.
Parasects were wiped out, leaving their hosts to spread to other pokemon and humans, which is basically the most dangerous thing you’ll see on this blog.

Hello. I’ll admit it hasn’t changed much, however we have much more advanced pokeballs and transportation.
Screen technology is mostly kept for the higher ranked members of the team, such as myself.
One exception to that rule is pokedexes, as everyone in the system is assigned a personal one. Our pokedexes can detect the health and status of pokemon, which is crucial for interacting with wild ones.
Also our pokeballs have locks on them now, I would recommend pursuing it sooner than later in your time.
Dragons. Keldeo. Saved from a fire nobody else survived. Raised by three Pokémon who treat them more as a protege than a child. Feeling so impossibly disconnected from them, but so trapped in eternity…
There used to be legends of them visiting Lostlorn’s own waterfall. I wonder if they still do. What they think of the charred earth. Whether they’d tell me to run, too. Whether they knew what they were getting into…
Sometimes the quiet of the night is when you can do your best thinkin.
What would be the reason they ran? Maybe they ran because they didn't think they were worthy, or stressed by the weight, or maybe they ran to where they were needed
But to me… the weight of suddenly having duty foisted on you, of having someone else decide your purpose and your life for you… wouldn’t anyone want to come to their own conclusions, even if you were grateful at first? To know that you’re expected to come back around even when you run, that they’re waiting and waiting and could wait forever, that your own choices are nothing but an inevitability to them.
That could very well be the reason they left, to go on a journey and ask themselves "is this what I want" it's perfectly fine to feel grateful for an opportunity.
I can only imagine the stress of being one of the swords, at the very least they seem more than willing to wait.
Yeah, I suppose… but even so, they still decided for Keldeo. For me. That I’m stuck here. What if we didn’t want to be around forever? What if somebody else was more deserving?
But you kinda just gotta keep going until you can figure it out. I’m not a big fan of being stuck inside all the time, but I kept living and having fun.
