If you're asking me how I feel about it as a whole, I wouldn't say the movie was completely bad. The animation was spectacular, the fight scenes were breathtaking, and I didn't find the humour half-bad.

There was a good deal of passion and creativity put into those elements... but it just doesn't feel like they put enough of it into the story, themes, and characters (i.e., how the antagonists feel underdeveloped, and it feels like the other members of Team Avatar are being disregarded, etc.).

After seeing how the movie ended, methinks it would have been beneficial for the movie if it came out BEFORE The Legend of Korra instead of after.

even kind of since tlok it feels like katara has been demoted to aang’s love interest, and i especially felt that in the movie. i get that the movie was centered around aang and there were definitely problems portraying other characters, but i’m sick and tired of katara not getting the recognition she deserves! she’s the best waterbender of her generation and it doesn’t always feel like they treat her like it.

Spoilers for the new Legend of Aang movie!!

I just wanted to address this cuz its been on my mind since i watched it 2 days ago. The crashout Aang had at the end was imo a long time coming. I liked that he could finally let out some of the anger that was contained in him for himself and others.

I also especially love that it wasn't Katara who snapped him out of it, because at this point in time we all know that they love each other very much, this movie is not about Aang and Katara. Its about Aang and his regret and guilt over the genocide of the air nation.

So having the air nation flag snap him out of the corruption of the staff was perfect.

Overall i loved the movie!! I understand that it was an Aang centered film so the others didnt get that much focus but i loved all the little moments with everyone! (Also everyone was so hot wtf🔥)

I need like 5 more movies of the gaang in their 20s bro🤌🤌🤌🤌

Something that I think really proves Aang in the newest avatar movie was blinded by grief is when Aang was like “You don’t get it. My people were wiped out. No one gets it” and while that’s technically true he says this to KATARA!

Katara who for a good chunk of her life thought she would live and die as the last waterbender of the southern water tribe. The person who experienced raids that came to KILL her. She genuinely thought she was the last of her kind as well.

And you have the audacity to be like “You couldn’t possibly understand!”

Aang your wife is probably the only person who comes close to understanding.

the collective amnesia over sokka actually being pretty grumpy and serious all the time in the show is actually crazy ? why am i seeing people act like he was just some guy who was there to make jokes and keep everyone smiling meanwhile he was running that group like the navy like he used to have schedules planned and he was the only one who ever gaf about food and resources or tried to get a job to feed them 😭 like man you're thinking about AANG 😭
