In that moment, I said I'll always choose to find sunlight in all this fucking darkness. 'Cause what's the point of a second chance if not? You do find the light, Pete. You do. I don't have that in me, though. I would have been fucking dead if it wasn't for you.

frustration  crawls  up  the  back  of  his  neck,  mouth  twisting  into  a  lazy  sneer  as  he  shoulders  his  way  past,  making  no  effort  to  avoid  where  they  collide  as  he  does  so.  he  isn't  going  to  waste  his  time  or  breath  on  convincing  the  soon-to-be  dead  to  postpone  the  inevitable:  those  unfit  for  survival  will  be  picked  out  of  teeth  one  way  or  another,  he  isn't  about  to  make  it  his  business.  it  isn't  his  business.  still,  he  stops  a  few  steps  ahead,  levelling  the  other  with  a  scathing  glare.  “ out  there  is  gonna  be  in  here  real  fuckin'  soon,  jackass. ” 

“Give yourselves due kudos, boys. Let's hear it. You made it one hundred miles. That's a goddamn accomplishment!”
