If EXTREMELY GOOFY MOVIE were being released NOW, I wonder if they wouldn't shy away from Maxley being potentially canon. (That is, if we're to assume Max & Roxanne aren't together.)

Like THESE days in a post-Lumity world there'd be a better chance of that happening, both a well-written Enemies To Friends To Lovers relationship & a same-sex relationship. Not to mention anyone who's watched EGM recently can see from space how Max & Bradley's first encounter already has "Bitter Ex-Boyfriend" vibes. (Yeah, it was no doubt unintentional, but it's there.)

Mind you, to go further into that kind of relationship or story the writers would have to address Bradley being a big stinky cheater, but I always found it interesting that he had absolutely no shame in it. That he takes PRIDE in cheating despite he & his crew having the skill to win on their own merits. He had to have learned from somewhere that it was a-okay for him to do that, & with a name like "Uppercrust", well...

remember when I said I was thinking of making a future AU comic? here's some stuff for it!

NOW FOR THE IDEA:

After the X-games, Bradley gets taken out of school and gets sent to live w/ his mum in a different state to finish his bachelor's degree (his parents are divorced THIS IS IMPORTANT)

The actual comic would take place in the 2000s, the main gang are in senior year, and everyone's older + more sure of themselves (or so we think)

It would start with Max meeting up with Roxanne (I love her) to catch up before the semester begins (She's back in town for reasons I will not reveal yet). She also brings along her mysterious friend who recommended the course and also happens to be returning with her to start their masters (or PhD I'm gonna need to look into this more ofc!)
