robby: he still thinks he is the number one fighter due to the years of neglect he suffered and had to fence himself. robby had a tendency to blame himself until kree.se so and so found him and told him what he had to do. robby being in juvie was the turn in the screw he needed. he turned that anger from inward, toward the outside, to johnny and daniel and everything else in his life. he is very aware that robby keene is very loyal when he thinks the cause. but this is also kreese proyecting johnny into robby and seeing the parallels and playing into that.  he also found the spot that makes robby turn everything else off and just become a machine.

tory: the one sad thing about tory is that perhaps, kreese take care of her because she remind him of him, yes, but also of betsy. perhaps, that unborn kid that never was that would have their own kid of tory’s age perhaps. so while she is one of the best fighters for some of the same reasons as robby, he also tries to take care of her in ways that he hadn’t before, planting the seed on amanda to help tory, making sure her creepy landlord doesn’t dare step up again, helping with the payments to go back to the dojo. perhaps with tory, he cares more about how she feels with herself than the glory of winning.

sam: sam has the same potential as a young johnny he saw a long time ago. rich kid who keeps everything inside. johnny was a quiet kid and sam by virtue of being daniel’s kid and perhaps being a teenage girl, has a natural tendency to keep anger inside. she is a larusso after all, and he knows the potential of the larussos’ under cobra kai. sam’s anger has the benefit for him that it slips through cracks unable to contain it, so it’s easier to spot when she starts changing to offense. 

hawk: he was kreese’ most loyal subject and perhaps the perfect example of what kreese potential is when he gets into someoen’s mind and twists everything. it’s good he can relate to hawk, the feeling of being the odd one out, as kreese wasn’t exactly popular as a kid, he was a pariah too and he saw all of that in hawk and turn it into something dangerous, explosive. the thing with hawk was, that explosion always had a core of  connection to other people. demetri was hawk’s best friend and hurting him snapped something back. he still thinks hawk doesn’t fit into MD but he hasn’t seen choz.en or the parallels between the two men.

miguel:  miguel was one of his best but like on terry’s list, he cares too much about johnny lawrence and his opinion of him. he cant’ get to miguel until he breaks down johnny and perhaps due to their history, kreese can’t bring himself to attack his former student directly and often goes to focus about daniel and how he is the one thing that turn everything around.
