The Knuckles series was fun nonsense, but they also introduced one fucked up piece of canon, which was that all of Robotnik's agents were systematically assassinated by GUN after his disappearance in S1. The show confirmed mass murder was carried out between movies and then Knuckles and Wade went bowling. 10/10

Ironically, all the people who hated Robotnik's clown ass got murdered, and the one person left alone was Stone because GUN knew Robotnik liked him and would go back to him. So that's twice that Robotnik's love for Stone saved Stone's life. Which could mean nothing.
