March of the Living
I will be in Poland and Israel for the next two weeks with students, educators, and Holocaust survivors from around the world. On Holocaust Memorial Day (Yom HaShoah), I will march silently from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex built during World War II. I will post photos and share more about my experience when I get back on May 7th.

I had the chance to meet Amy Ziering, the producer of the film "The Invisible War." The film examines the epidemic of rape in the United States Armed forces, and has been credited with initiating changes to military policies on sexual assault.

Today is World Water Day, and we’d like to salute some of the organizations striving to provide clean water for all, including Water.org, charity: water, and Students Rebuild through its water challenge.
Pictured here are students at the Kibera School for Girls in Nairobi, Kenya, who have benefited from Shining Hope for Communities’ clean water project, which includes a water tower that provides scarce clean water in a community where there is no running water.
