Hello, was wondering if you had any set way of picking your beautiful colours for your art?

short answer: thank you. no i don’t have a set way. ive made a post about this already and also enough people have asked me that ive put it in my faq

long answer: thank you. no i don’t have a set way. i choose colours based on what innately feels “right”. i talked about colour theory in general before, but here’s some more concrete tips. i made a few coloured thumbnails and pointed out the kind of colours i prefer to use

as a disclaimer, i think defaulting to certain colours is a bad habit and this guide should be used as a starting block for figuring out your own tastes. any colour should work with any colour if you use them properly.

i want to make a speedpaint in the near future, so maybe at that point you’ll see my colour-picking process in action.
