The past two weekends I went to two very different conventions.
The first was Momento Con. Which was very specifically Supernatural. I thought that we all did a great job of asking actors questions not about their work and generally respecting the strike rules, not putting them in a difficult position. It was lovely and the actors appreciated it.
The next was Steel City Con which had many big name actors from various things. (William Shatner, Marissa Tomie, Billy Dee Williams, Warwick Davis etc…) I thought here the audience sometimes did not respect the strike rules and asked specific work related questions. The moderator did his best to steer them away and constantly reminded the crowd not to do that. A few times the celebrities had to ask their managers if they could answer something. It was a bit disappointing that the audience couldn’t respect the actors and strike.
My point is that I’m very proud of the Supernatural fandom for not only showing we caring deeply about the show/characters but the actors too. Keep it up SPN family.
