ROLF AND TONYâ:
Rolf didnât spend a great deal of time alone - not anymore. But there were times he didnât mind some time to think. Of course, it was an odd choice to do so surrounded by people, he thought, smiling to himself. He heard Tonyâs voice - a little louder than his usual tone - before he saw him, but promptly reorientated his stance to be facing him. âAs a renowned - I say with humility- world traveller, I can say with certainty it is worthy of its world famous reputation.â Rolf had been hoping to check in with Tony if he could find the time, though not wanting to take the man away from his loved ones. Though he might not have known him particularly well in any other life, they had a great deal in common. Not just the Order. Rolf gestured behind him, his eyes softening as he watched the children run wild, âYour family? I see why youâve spoken so fondly about them.â Â
Tony lets out a light laugh at the others words ââ you flatter me, you flatter me. ââ Of course, Tony knows the pub is excellent. But when they bought it, it was a shit hole; they had invested a lot of time and money into the place. Tony needed it to be the best pub in Hackney; he needed that title. ââ Uh, yeah, those are my two over there - ââ he points out the two Kray kids amongst the group now sitting cross-legged under the bar ââ, and by the window over there is my wife, Giovanna. A real stunner, ain't she? ââ he's awestruck for a moment, as he so often is, by just the sight of her. He has to watch her for a moment, watch the way her nose crinkles when she laughs, the way her kindness SHINES out of her face, the way her hair falls so perfectly on her shoulder. FUCK, he needs to stop or the guilt will start building again. He turns back to Rolf ââ let me get you a drink on the house, what do you want? ââ
