We met at a Michael’s & you branded me with the moon on my chest.

It’s like the ink seeped through my skin & poured into my heart leaving a permanent imprint of that day; of you.

The only way to describe how you drove me is wild.

Wild like the flowers you secretly left on my car after driving two hours to surprise me.

Wild like the way I ran from the door to ravage you while you stood in my driveway.

Wild like the thoughts that chaotically ran my mind when you disappeared for months.

& like the feeling that pulsates through my veins when we visit

pretending like we’re the only ones in existence for that moment.

Pretending we never ended.

Like time just skipped over the in between.

& like we don’t have lovers at home waiting for us to spill how our day was.

I don’t know what I’m doing.

I don’t know who I am some days.

I don’t know if I want serenity or straight fucking chaos.

That’s comfortable;that’s home.

But chaos will put me in an urn.
