Sometimes I look at the newest format of speedpaints, and wonder why not many do the old format anymore -- until I made this lmfao.

Sketchbook Pro is the program I use and have been using to draw for years now, and unlike many other programs it doesn’t have its own speedpaint feature, so I’ve to record it myself using a separate program. Anyways, I found a way to condense a total of 8 hours and 50 minutes of raw footage into these 2 minutes plus. If you managed to get through the whole thing without feeling the need to lie down or throw up, here’s 3 stars for you ⭐⭐⭐

Starting from here I’m gonna post more speedpaint reels of my future works, to leave digital footprints that prove I’m a genuine artist. With how common it can be to be called an AI artist these days that’s the last thing I’d want to happen to me, since I fucking hate generative AI and absolutely refuse to use it.

Moreover, recording my process also gives me some additional info, like the near accurate amount of time I spent on some works, so that’s cool.

Tried doing a flash photography kind of render; maybe the shadows and lighting don’t make a lot of sense but I tried my best to emulate the feel of a flash, and it does feel like one so I’m happy with that :D Fun fact about the composition, the tablet originally didn’t exist, so Corrupted Maena was at the corner of the computer screen. But after a while I just didn’t like the way it looked so I brought in the tablet to fix that

It’s been a while since they last appeared on my account so I’m gonna briefly introduce them; they’re characters I made for a story called Taking Down John, made by @/Kelpible. They’re runaways from John’s cult and are hiding within a dystopian city. Due to the pollution within said city, they gained powers / abilities, to which Serilyn has to use hers to keep her brother in check cause he’s always running around a lot more now.

I drew this comic a while ago but only had time to make something out of it now so here it is lol. How do people manage to record the movement of their cameras so well and edit them to look so good too…

1. Christmas Secret Santa with Grass

Did this last year where me and Grass decided to draw something for each other & surprise ourselves with the outcome. I’ve wanted to draw my own persona design of her & took the opportunity to do so.

2-3. Fanart for my friends’ Final Year Films

Originally both of them adopted the same style as Slide 2, but later Moonie requested me to colour in Slide 3, when I had some free time during the production of my Final Year Film, so I gladly obliged.

4. A Kirby for the Music Producer

I commissioned someone to make music for my Final Year Film, and after obtaining the info that he loves Kirby, I decided to draw a Kirby for him. He loved it >:)

5-7. Cookie Run Characters

Not gonna say who I gave these to. But I will say that I plan to make merch of them and sell them at conventions eventually!

8-9. Miscellaneous

Also gifts for people I won’t mention. Will mention how much I struggled with Surtr though, considering how she’s a gacha anime character. I had to look up chibi references to be able to convert her into my style, and for her sword, I had to trace the hilt cause everytime I drew it myself I just couldn’t get it to look right

Hey everyone! Guess who’s back earlier than expected :D I’ve finally finished college and am done with my final year film, so now I’m free to post!

I started this in 2024 but redrew and finished it in 2025. I know the background perspective is still a little weird, so I’ve to work on that some more, or use 3D to help me out lmao

Also, the artwork is old, and so is the comic within the post 💀 It’s been waiting to see the public light of day since the end of 2024 until now. And to provide a bit of a brief explanation for the comic -- Yale likes a specific brand of lollipops and is practically addicted to it -- so they’re not as keen on trying any other lollipop brand. It’s not that they don’t appreciate receiving gifts, they’re just a little more particular when it comes to candy.

Guess who decided to make a brief comeback just cause their favourite band released a new song?

ROSES. IT’S FINALLY HERE OH MY GOD.

For the record, this had been the plan all along with this artwork. I first made it when I heard a teaser of it last February, with the idea of a girl holding a bouquet of red flags folded to look like roses. The idea was horribly enticing to me, and I wanted to draw something for the song and post it on its official release date -- so here it is now.

The original “final” is in the second slide and I didn’t like it very much. The lighting was a bit too blown out, there wasn’t enough contrast with the shadows and god, the HAIR. Awful hairline, I shouldn’t have done whatever I did back then

Also, pro tip I learned when refining the shading on the roses: use the lasso tool to help out with that. It will save you a lot of time

I’m gonna be using this post to give a bit of an update on what’s going on w me rn So currently I’m in my final year of being an animation major, which means I’m working on my own film! It’s taking up a lot of my time so just like the previous semesters, I’ll only return once I’ve finished this project. Or, in this case, when I’ve graduated! I’m gonna be so honest, working on it has been taking a huge toll on my mental state. I’m regressing back into old destructive habits, but I’m doing the best I can to take care of myself and keep my emotions under wraps. Don’t want any arguments happening, after all. But besides the absolute exhaustion, I suppose I have been learning a lot more about film production this semester. Texturing, facial animation, sound editing, making an artbook etc. So… that’s cool, I guess Anyways, I think that’s all I’ve to say. See you guys in post format again in like… June or July? Or August, perhaps.

Part 3/3 - The Young Newcomer

The final portrait and the climax of the story is here‼️ Unlike the previous 2 portraits, Brielle’s isn’t the first impression anyone would get when they meet her -- in fact, this is precisely the moment when Elias sees her in her new room after she meets Mildred. Looking at this for the first time, you may notice the similar composition with Mildred’s portrait, and that’s on purpose! They’re in the same house after all, and I also kept in mind on how I wanted Brielle’s portrait to feel like a combo of Mildred and Elias’ portraits, with the lighting feeling as “ethereal” as Mildred’s, and Brielle having little to no elegant flair like Elias.

With that in mind, alongside Brielle being someone recently arriving in the Afterlife, I chose Idea 20 to be her theme, as its melody feels magical and adventurous, like there’s a lot more to explore and discover about this new world she’s now in, but there’s also certain parts of the song that sound a little sad, which portrays her grief towards having to leave her previous life forcefully. But it’s all going to be okay, it’s all going to get better, because lucky for her, she has people who can help her adapt to her new life.

And with that, we come to the end of the beginning of this story! I genuinely hope you guys liked the story and my OCs! I had a blast with writing and boarding this story

Part 2/3 - The Boy Around Town

Idea 22 has a melody that feels melancholic and sad, yet has a touch of etherealness to it that felt right and perfect to be the theme for Mildred, a bride who passed on her wedding day. Her portrait is how I pictured anyone to see her upon first meeting -- a lonely, elegant figure looking out of the window, with her surroundings in a ruined state.

However, with Elias’ portrait in contrast, it’s how I pictured Brielle to see him on their first meeting. He doesn’t hold as much mystery factor as his caretaker -- in fact, he’s barely as elegant as her -- but could you really expect such things from a playful child like him?

While Solas also has a soft melody like Idea 22, it feels mellow, cheery and fantastical, unlike Idea 22. It somewhat suits Elias, as he’s like a light in the dark world of the Afterlife, being a child full of energy and joy unlike the other adults around him. He tries to make the best out of his glum surroundings, and looks forward to the day when he has a friend that can travel around this world of mystery alongside him, for there is much more to be discovered.

Anyways YEEEAAAHHHH SECOND PORTRAIT SECOND PART‼️‼️ I sort of rushed this but I still like how it turned out! Admittedly, the perspective for the background was cheated a little with a reference image. Drawing perspective for backgrounds is a lot more difficult than applying foreshortening to characters 😭

Part 1/3 - The Lonely Bride

I actually locked in and finished this portrait within days… oh my word 🤯

Anyways yeah! Presenting a portion of the storyboards I made for my 6th Sem >:) I poured my heart and soul into this cause I really cared about the story of my Ghost characters and originally, I planned for this to be for my Final Year Project as an animation student. Unfortunately due to the provided limitations and guidelines, I had to use another story that’s shorter, so I’ll be making up for my loss by showing it off here!

My plan is to make a total of 3 portraits of each of my characters and post them alongside the storyboards, as I’m moving towards a more colourful profile on all my socials. Hence, Parts 2 and 3 will take a while to arrive, especially since I’ll be going on vacation soon!

Kaiausynthe smiled brightly at Stratiana’s arrival, delighted that she accepted his invitation. He watched as she approached, her dress dragging behind her every step gracefully, and her glittering makeup accentuating her already beautiful face. Soon she stood before him, allowing for a closer look, and he blushed, before recomposing himself and clearing his throat.

“May I have this dance?” he asked, offering a hand to her. She smiled, a light blush on her face as she hummed in response and took it.

Music began to play. They started to dance. They twirled and skipped and talked and laughed. And soon, the melody of a violin was heard. Stratiana’s eyes widened at how close and loud the violin felt, and looked towards the musicians in search of a passionate and fierce player. But alas, none of the musicians held a violin, and a look of confusion appeared on her face.

Kaiausynthe chuckled at the sight, and he led the girl to dance at a slower speed, his heart thumping loudly against his chest as he took a quiet breath of courage. Golden swirls started to circle around him, concealing his appearance for a brief moment before gently fizzling out in dusts of glitter and light -- a cloaking spell taken off.

Stratiana’s eyes widened in wonder and surprise, Kaiausynthe’s true appearance finally presented before her. She studied all three of his eyes, admiring the different shades of blue each of them had. Above the arms she held onto, was another pair that held a violin and a bow -- aha! So that’s where the violin was, HE was the player all along.

She watched as the boy slowly ended the melody he played, their footsteps coming to a stop. He looked into her eyes, a nervous smile upon his face as he put the instrument behind his back. “S-So.. this was why I invited you to a private dance.”

Her gaze softened, and she smiled. “You played beautifully as always.”

Words cannot describe how much I love this piece. It was my first time drawing a ballroom and doing something more detailed, and I absolutely ABSOLUTELY love it like oh my god. Big shout out to my friend Moonierunes and my lecturer for giving me feedback on how to make the piece look how it is right now. If it weren’t for their commentary, the golden swirls would have looked odd, and it would’ve been too bright (as shown in the third slide, which is the previous version)

I love implementing perspective into my works because it makes a composition look interesting, but my favourite part about this piece is the dutch angle. It genuinely makes it look so much more dynamic and artistic and I just can’t stop fawning over it 😭 Whoever said that tilting compositions spices things up, I genuinely genuinely owe it to them for this 😭

By the way, the ballroom was inspired by Beauty and the Beast’s one! It was the PERFECT reference that came to mind and I do like how the texturing of the walls and floor came out! I intended for it to look like marbling in a sense

I’m so happy to finally post the Key Art / Splash Art I made of my OCs during my recent semester 😭 I’m really proud of this and the next one, cause I really knocked it out of the park with them and with this piece specifically, it made me finally, PROPERLY understand how to do lighting and shading. Like oh my god bro I had been rendering stuff the wrong way up until then. No wonder my lighting looked muddy asl 💀

Anyways at the time, I saw one of Leafy Illustration’s posts that had a similar vibe, with the neon lights and Anti AI propaganda being the graffiti, and it inspired me to make this! DJC Yesenia does enjoy doing graffiti and I also wanted to spread some Anti AI propaganda myself, so this is the outcome hehehe >:)

Finally posting my Semester 5 showreel lmao

All I can say about this one is that… I wish I understood how to time key poses better 💀
