character ref dump from the last few months. Shimakna and Rysalka are very old characters (from 2003/04!!!) and were redesigned earlier this year with help from Farren (farren1 on neopets). Rysalka got an overhaul and turned into a fossa!

Merlue is a newer character. he's an Eyrie, and his design is based on merlin birds. he's a wizard but he has a speech impediment which means his spells don't always go uhhh, "right".

And last but not least (so far) for the portraits…

Shimakna and Rysalka are two of my oldest neopets characters (dating all the way back from 2003!). they’ve gone through several iterations. Currently Shimakna is the God of the Hunt and Rysalka is a Lesser Immortal who deals with/guides new mothers and mothers-to-be.

Eliato is a barista who wants to break into baking. she loves people and getting to know them and working with her hands, so these sorts of jobs suit her down to the ground.

Even more character portraits!! This time, brothers.

Jaderri and Charlie are bffs. Reilly and Leon are bffs. Jaderri is Reilly’s older brother, and Charlie is Leon’s older brother. Woof, interpersonal connections.

Jaderri and Reilly’s mother left their family home when they were small, leaving Jaderri to fill in the role of mother - taking care of house, organising Reilly’s schedule, and stepping in where their father couldn’t help. He’s maintained that intense feeling of responsibility and now works in the service industry, while Reilly didn’t ever appreciate the work that was done and is a spoiled younger layabout brother. He plays the guitar, writes songs, and tags along with Leon wherever he goes.

Charlie and Leon’s mother left their father, taking them with her, and moved into the house next door to Jaderri and Reilly. The boys became besties very fast.

Charlie similarly has filled in the role of father, protecting the family and going into work as soon as he was able to. He is a protector and provider, while Leon has taken all of his mother and brother’s hard work for granted. Leon has always been naturally affable and people love him so he’s got along in life just fine.

*Kumiriah* (previously Atacuma) has been redesigned from a Lupe to an Aisha. She’s an earth spirit who embodies a yew tree in a deep forest.

*Radirik* was also previously a Lupe, now a Wocky. He’s an air spirit that embodies a summer breeze, and likes to mess with his siblings and cause tornadoes.

*Durnfall* was a ghost Lupe, now a Magma Lupe. He’s a fire spirit, the spirit of a volcano in the Pacific, but he’s currently away from home supervising Lunuhris, so his volcano is sleeping.
