Fucker

I so wholeheartedly believe in the good of man. How can we dare view the world in such a pessimistic light? Humans are inherently good and we can see that just in the everyday comforts and tenderness that is offered to us by strangers in passing. My sophomore year of highschool I walked into the bathroom and a gilr walking out stopped me and help my should while she stared into my eyes with the most tender expression and told me ‘oh my god you’re so pretty’ I can’t stop thinking about that moment. The sweet tenderness, the connection I felt to that girl in that bathroom left me in awe the rest of the day, I had just moved schools, I had no friends and in the midst of my sadness about that she opened my chest and ripped my heart out and said “look, your heart is beating for those around you. You have to see” people are good and I’m so done and tired of assuming they aren’t. I’m tired of being sad. People are good. And I refuse to let me bad experiences tell me otherwise
