We miss Japanese food so much we keep improvising. #Soba with raw quail eggs, some natto and mackerel. Tahra is my usual companion in #Natto. Now we need to master some Japanese curry, some #yakitori and #okonomiyski and we should be able to last until this pandemic goes away. #Brooklyn, always full of surprises. The lighting of the largest #menorah in the world ( supposedly) happens at Grand Army Plaza. #HappyHalloween, everyone! We had a Halloween filled week. Preparing with very many pumpkins and decorating the house, working on costumes, and enjoyed #TrickorTreating. We avoided the most crowded streets, used a fishing net for some social distancing, appreciated all do those with shoots for candy and stayed masked, and had a great time! We are lucky to have a child who doesn't like candy, so she just hands them all out in the end and we keep the little toys people hand out. Our first in person #homeschooling group class. We have loved our weekly playdates, but thankful that even in our nature exploration group everyone stayed masked, and with some degree of social distancing even in a group.
