Oh this is a common scam I find at work. Any file that:

isn't jpg, jpeg, pdf, or png

Is a file extension you don't recognise (this one is a visual basic file, used for scripting, but others like exe or bat are used)

has a very low or unexpected file size (this one's is less than 1KB, or 0.001MB, a good reference should be at least 500KB)

Is likely a scam. Stay safe kids.

friendly reminder to not trust asks/dms from people telling you they accidentally reported you, and do not get in contact with the account they give to you

AND IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES LEND YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

don't trust anyone who claims to be from tech support and requests you to give them your email/username/password

giving out your information like that is a quick way to get your account hacked

This happened to me years ago on Steam where I had someone added and then one day they came to me and said that they accidentally reported me for pirating games instead of paying for them. They claimed that they were trying to report someone else for that. I panicked and they hooked me up with a "steam technician" on discord where I told them what happened.

They asked for my account info and like midway I noticed how suspicious it was so I went to my dad and he told me to stop and block them so I did. I never gave the guy my password or anything but for safety measures I made a new Steam account.

I was a kid when this happened and honestly I'm glad I told my dad before I could give them any other info from my old account.

If you experience something like this BLOCK AND REPORT OR TELL A TRUSTED ADULT.
