Yelena had been extensively researching the target for weeks. She didn’t really care where her skillset was used as long as it was used. Even without the Red Room, Yelena thought life would be this massive oyster and yet she chose to go with what she knew best. Why? Because the world was scary and she had nothing to go back to. For a Widow, without the Red Room, there was nothing outside of that. Everything was a ploy. Everything was a manipulation. Of course, Yelena would hold onto the one thing that made sense to her. Speaking of, Yelena stepped out, drawing the pistol with the silence without hesitation though stopped when she realized the target was not alone.
Not alone, no, but the target was blissfully unaware of Tony’s presence as he hid within the shadows. The man, reputable and worth a lot of money, was a piece of trash he was hired to take out. Easy - security was high, but the guards were locked on easy mode. The office was simple to get into - all in all, this would be an easy buck and a nice break from some of the crazier shit he’s had to deal with..
.. If he hadn’t noticed the other hired gun on the other end of the room with silencer only just barely catching the light. No, of course he hadn’t noticed; he’d turned to grab a drink off his little cart. Tony could not be seen by him, but his back was full and exposed to this mysterious silhouette. Typical this wouldn’t be as easy as he expected. Nice.
