Holy hell, it's been a wild day.

You think, staring at the TV. All the aftermath lay out in the streets for everyone to see, you saw it all play out those 2 hours. Bodies everywhere, fire... and... a whole lot of blood...

I mean... You didn't think at... what? 5'o o'clock in the damn morning, while you and your very gorgeous demon girlfriend were enjoying the comfort in each other's arms in bed.

The god damn city would be under attack!

If it weren't for you getting up to grab a late-night snack, and seeing the fire outside the windows. Malevola might not have been there to save people... and kill all of those villains.

Along with helping take down Shroud.

Even now they're still cleaning up all those bodies, the sight of LA right now makes it look like Hollywood is shooting a new season of The Walking Dead out there. But, regardless of the city being in shambles...

After you found out Malevola survived the battle (you definitely weren't freaking out every minute) you were soon told she would still have to help out with the carnage and work...

The devil knows she's gonna be exhausted getting home. So, maybe a nice dinner might cheer her up and if she isn't exhausted then some nice food might get her spirits in order!

Quickly, you hop off the couch, making sure to grab your phone from the coffee table. Putting it inside your pocket to make sure you don't miss any incoming texts from Mel. You still want this to be a surprise but...

Hell, she might just portal in the living room without a text saying she's coming.

You twist your head towards the oven clock to see the time being 6:13, seeing that time only made you groan in pain for your girlfriend. She's been out for so damn long... but, you took a breath and continued to set the table for you and Mel.

Putting out the red and black tablecloth, along with grabbing a black candle holder, and setting three red candles into the holders. Pulling out your pocket lighter and lighting them for that romantic warm glow.

Once the table was set you quickly grabbed the two plates of food you prepared in advance, food you hoped you didn't mess up with cooking. Normally you would've ordered something but, seeing as the roads were destroyed and covered in blood. Delivery wasn't an option...

So, you placed the plates onto the table, grabbed the most expensive bottle of wine Mel stole from a wine shop, back before she joined the Z-team. Smiling you placed the bottle and two wine glasses on the table and checked the time again. 6:21. Well, ain't you making good use of time...

"Got 9 more minutes," you say to yourself, going into your pocket and checking your phone. No texts yet. Turning your head over to the oven, you catch a large rise of steam coming from the pan.

"Ah- shit," you curse, dropping your phone onto the table as you run over to the stove while mumbling curses to yourself. Doing your best to save the steaming food and make sure it wasn't burnt.

"Please don't be burnt..." You whisper to yourself, taking a spare knife from the rack and flipping the piece of pork over. Okay, this piece wasn't burnt.

Letting out a sigh you quickly make haste with getting the plates ready. Grabbing them from the table and making sure not to burn yourself in the process, along with making sure you don't make a huge mess.

You placed both plates of food down, making sure that they looked decent before you took a step back. Looking over your shoulder, expecting to see a red portal appear any min-

"Heh, there we go," you say softly, turning your body to face the glowing portal, reddish and pinkish glowing shining on all the objects in the apartment.

Your smile grows once you see Malevola walk through, sword in her hand as she looks worn out from today's events. There's a slight amount of dirt on her cheeks and arms, but thankfully no bandages.

"I'm home, babe..." Malevola says with a sigh, walking through the portal fully now. The red glow disappeared with the portal as Mal set her giant sword to the side, leaning against the wall with a thud.

You noticed her body movements. The way she held her head as she rubbed her eyes gently.

"Did you mak-" Malevola asked, opening her eyes to see what that smell was but she was only met with you running into her arms. Hugging her tightly.

"Oh, thank god you're alright," you said, relieved that Malevola was actually okay. You expected her to be covered in wounds when she walked through that portal. Knowing how tough she is it wouldn't have worried her but, it worried you...

"Aww, was someone worried?" Malevola asked in a teasing tone, wrapping her arms around you, along with her tail coming to snake around your legs.

"Yes! I don't mean to be all worried, since you're well, strong as hell but, to be fair it was a riot..." You say, pulling away slightly as you look up into her eyes. But, all she gave you in return was that caring smile.

Which, in return actually calmed you down a lot.

"You're cute," Malevola said, her hands running up from your shoulders to your face as she held you gently in her hands. Her body is leaning down slightly to give you a kiss.

You're face flushed bright red but, you closed your eyes and kissed her back. Standing on your tiptoes to match her height a bit more so she didn't have to lean down.

Feeling the shift in height from you, she broke the kiss with a laugh as she looked down at you.

"You're such a dork," Malevola joked as she saw you trying to match her height but, it only made you blush harder as you looked away.

"Ain't my fault you're so damn tall..." You said with a slight groan in your voice as you lowered yourself to your normal height.

Malevola only chuckled, looking up now to see what you had cooked up but, her eyebrows rose slightly seeing the table set with hot food on the table. Along with the candle light and wine on the table.

"Babe..." Malevola said as she looked down at you with a small smile, slightly shocked at you made dinner and set this up.

"What kinda girlfriend would I be if I didn't make dinner after you fought in a riot and killed a lot of people..." You said, trialing off your sentence after realizing how weird it sounded. After all most couples don't deal with a lot of stuff you two deal with.

Malevola giggled, leaning down again as pressed a kiss to your cheek.

"You'd be an ass if you didn't, but you did so thank you," Malevola said as she stood up now, walking over to the table as her heels clicked against the floor.

You were going to follow but quickly felt her devil's tail gently flick under your chin. Which made you blush even harder. Rubbing under your chin, you watched as her tail fell back with your eyes trailing down but...

"Also, I know your feet are killing you in those heels! Please take them off..." You say knowing she can't be alright.

"I'm fine, panic manic. Now come and sit down, I wanna enjoy this with you." Malevola said as she sat down in her chair, waiting for you to join her with a smile on her beautiful face.

People did not seem to think very highly of Malevola at all. She was, by definition, intimidating. Despite her rather mellow personality, people around SDN had rather unfavorable opinions. Rumors flooded around her, some that held a bit of truth. She had heard a few of them floating around, like the one about her using her portals to subtly spy on others, or the one about how she broke an ex-dispatcher's wrist after a nasty argument. One of those was true, but the other was a terrible lie. She would never spy on people without their knowledge!

The newest rumor surrounding her was a bit of a toss-up. There were about an equal amounts of truths and lies in the story people were telling about her. Well, her and you.

Your relationship with Malevola was constantly up for argument around the office. Some claimed you were friends, others bet on you two being lovers. In truth, it was a grey area. The attraction between you both ran deep, and naturally so; things of beauty belong together. A defined relationship, though? No. The title of what you were could stay a steady debate.

All that anyone knew for sure was that you both were always around each other and your personalities were horrifically different. 

Malevola was cool confidence personified. The world could be constantly watching her and she wouldn't crack under pressure. You, on the other hand, felt lucky to be allowed to touch the ground beneath your feet. Self-image was a constant struggle for you—maybe that's why you felt so drawn to her. She kept her head high and her back firm, and you found yourself nearly jealous of it. You wondered how she could be so sure of herself all the time. She sort of took you under her wing for a while. Tried to teach you confidence and self-love. Key word "tried."

You just couldn't grasp it. You were a ball of nerves and anxiety, and not for your life could you feel beautiful. Not without help. That's when Malevola started using other tactics to make you feel worthy. 

She coddled you. She helped you pick out outfits for nights out, did your makeup in the office bathrooms before work, found you a cuter hero outfit than the basic bodysuit you afforded yourself, and took you out for drinks to teach you her 'unapproachable' act.

Most of all, she pampered you with treats. Things you used to deny yourself for fear of judgment. Candies, pastries, cookies, and confections of all kind were fair game. Nearly every morning, a sweet treat was waiting for you on your desk with an equally sweet, yet brief, note. That's where the nasty rumor kicked in. 

You had gained a bit of weight from all her spoiling. Not a lot, nothing detrimental, but enough to be noticeable. And notice everyone did.

People came up with such cruel ideas. They seemed to think she was tricking you into gaining weight for evil reasons. To make herself look better next to you. To make you less appealing to men in the office. To manipulate you.

But none of it was true, she swore it. The real reason was far more selfish. 

She did it because she liked how you looked. Well, that was why she continued to do it, anyways. She really was just trying to be kind at first, but then she saw the weight you put on. It went to your hips first, and filled you out nicely. Then your tits. Then your stomach plumped up to match the rest of your curves. Then your face softened. Oh, she was so weak! Giving into her own selfishness so quickly. She could not help herself, though. 

She was obsessed.

Out of any of the people in the office, you always felt the most comfortable coming to Invisigal for advice. Of course, she often was less than gentle, but her brutal honesty was what you needed.

You had struck up a chat with her in the breakroom for some random reason or another and soon landed on the topic of your maybe-girlfriend.

"Visi, can you be unbiased for a second?" you asked, fiddling with your hands. 

"Probably not." She was perhaps too honest, but you would take it. "Why, what's up?"

You sucked in a breath, trying to collect your ideas into a coherent thought. "It's about Malevola." You watched her teasing grin sour and gave her sleeve a gentle tug. "I know you two have your differences, but please. Unbiased, Visi, unbiased!"

"Fine. Well, what about her?"

"Do you think she likes me? I mean, we've been talking a lot, and we are always together, but she isn't very outspoken about it."

Oh, God, not this shit. She couldn't bear to see you like this—fidgeting with your fingers and twirling your hair in anxiety. Deep down, she truly wanted nothing less than to ease your worries off completely, but she had her own reservations against Malevola. You were a friend, and she really disliked her anyways. Besides, she had caught wind of some gossip going around about the type of woman Malevola was and what she was possibly doing to you. 

"Y'know, she's kind of a bitch. Don't you think she's, like, I dunno," her words trailed off, lips pursing.

"Think what? What do you mean?"

She shrugged and took a swig of whatever overly caffeinated drink she had. "Don't you think she's using you? I mean, think about it."

You wanted to tell her that was an awful thing to say, but she interrupted you, scowl deepening.

"Everyone is talking about it. You could get better than her ass anyways. You should to stay away from her, if you have any sense. She's trying to sabotage you. It's all anyone has been talking about since you've plumped up."

Okay, ouch. There was that overly cruel honesty that you hated needing. A part of your heart ached at the idea that everyone could see how much you had gained. You weren't oblivious, you could see the scale tipping upwards, but was a few pounds really that noticeable? It hurt your little confidence more than you wanted to admit. 

Badly. 

Coming into work was suddenly very difficult for you. You knew it was childish, but you did not want anyone to see you. Maybe if you called out sick for a few days, everyone would forget about it. Though, as soon as you came back, they would just get back on with their chatter. It all felt so pointless.

You let yourself stew in pity for a day or two. Called Robert with some made up lie about a chest cold, enough to keep you home but not enough to be worried about. You barely got off of your couch, let alone brushed your hair or changed out of pajamas. Everyone probably thought you looked like trash anyways, why not rock it out and look like the mess they called you? 

The only thing that disrupted your pity party was that Malevola blew your phone up. As soon as she noticed you weren't in the office, she shot you a text. Then before a mission, a voicemail hit your inbox. Then a missed FaceTime at lunch. And another text. Then it all happened again the next day! 

You couldn't bother messaging or calling back. You felt betrayed. You knew Visi wasn't exactly the most trustworthy source, but she was a friend, and if she said you were being taken advantage of, well, you weren't one to ignore a warning like that.

You came back to work eventually, since you were an adult with bills to pay. Plus, you only got so many free sick days! The SDN was already pretty skimp with your checks, you couldn't afford them to dock you because you missed work on days you were not actually sick on.

Your desk was stacked. Your entire cubicle practically smelled like a berry danish. You knew exactly who left it all, of course, but you refused to give in. You wouldn't touch—no. You wouldn't even look at what all she left you. 

If she wanted to play with your feelings, then she could try, but you wouldn't be a pawn. 

"Did I get the wrong flavor, love?"

You stiffened in your chair, heating an overly familiar voice. Malevola. Nobody else had such a soft, calming tone. 

"You haven't touched a thing. Thought there'd be at least something you'd like, no?"

You stared at your computer screen, refusing to look at her. You felt so stupid, staring at a blank document on your laptop, pretending to be busy so you wouldn't have to face your feelings.

"Not hungry," you mumbled, making up some breakfast-aligned excuse. 

Malevola leaned against your cubicle's wall, her arm easily reaching over its expanse. "Right, right. Sure you don't want to at least try? I scored you some pretty nice things from that bakery you like. Got there extra early."

You resisted the urge to look up at what was on your desk. It smelled like buttery heaven, whatever it was. Instead, you swiveled around in your chair and faced her, eyes struggling to keep hold with her. 

Voice wavering, you spat, "Why are you doing this?”

Malevola’s brow arched ever so slightly. “Doing what?”

“You know what I mean,” you pressed, voice shaking. “All of this. The food. The notes. The—” you gestured vaguely at the pile of pastries, “—the all of it! Everyone’s been talking, okay? They’re saying things about you."

"What about me, love?"

You hated that word now. The way it rolled off her tongue made you feel small, like you were something she could pick up and put down whenever she wanted.

“They’re saying you’re trying to," you paused, not exactly sure what everyone thought, "to use me. To make me look bad. So you look better." The longer you spoke, the less you believed. It sounded unworldly immature, but the hurt you felt was still real.

For a long, silent beat, Malevola just looked at you. Really looked at you. Her usual mask of cool confidence didn’t vanish, but it softened. When she finally spoke, her tone was low and careful. “Do you believe them?”

You wanted to say no. The answer was, in fact, no. You just couldn't, though. "Why shouldn't I? Why would you keep doing this knowing it's made me s—so," your words cut off between soft sobs, "so ugly? I didn't want to believe it, but everyone sees it, so it must be true. I let myself become—"

"Fucking gorgeous."

You felt her big, strong arms wrap around your body, lifting you out of your chair. You struggled a bit, not realizing what was happening until she sucked you down into one of her portals.

"Open your eyes. It's important you watch closely."

The women's bathroom at work would not have been your first choice, but when Malevola had you bent over the sink like this, you couldn't complain. You could complain, however, about how she kept insisting you watch yourself in the mirror in front of you. 

"This is embarrassing," you whined, cracking an eye open. 

"Just trust me. Take it all in, see what I see," she said, still crouched down behind you, pumping her fingers into your cunt at a steady rhythm.

Immediately, you saw your tits. They were pressed together between your arms, pushed out in a rather nice display. You had to admit, going up a couple sizes wasn't the worst thing that could've happened. You noticed that your dresses seemed to fit nicely with your slightly larger bust.
