⢠I fucking loved the triple personality so much. In Christian Biblical lore, it really reminds me of the Godhead.
The Godhead is the concept that God created the Universe, and By extension Became Part of that Universe as Jesus, and by a Supernatural, Cosmic sense the Spirit of that God lives within/alongside All living people⦠kind of like the Mary becoming Ida becoming the Bride thing.
⢠This movie had a lot of Commentary on Consent that comes with the territory of an Adaptation of āThe Bride of Frankensteinā, and I appreciated it.
⢠The Meta References to the Universal Monsters movies, and Film in General, were too numerous to name them all but they were all INCREDIBLY FUN
The two that stuck out to me are the way the Theater Screen was showing Frankie and Ida in the films sometimes and Sometimes it wasnāt.
And the āPuttin on the Ritzā Moment from Young Frankenstein.
Me *hearing the music*: OH MH GOD- IF YOUāRE BLUE AND YOU DONāT KNOW WHERE TO GO TO WHY DONāT YOU GO WHERE FASHION SITS?? PUTTIN ON THE RITZ!
Frankie PUTTIN ON THE RIIIIITZZZZZZ!
Me: YES! EXACTLY, FRANKIE!
⢠I like how they established that she didnāt want to have sex, but then when they got to know each other and she did, he respected her enough to want to wait AGAIN until the next time, sort of as a ājust to be sure you still want to later, and not just now in the momentā principle.
⢠All in All, an incredible film, and one Iāll definitely be adding to my main āNot Universal Monsters but Pretty Much Universal Monsters Moviesā list alongside Lisa Frankenstein and Renfield!
NEVER was there a tale SO FINE, as that of THE BRIDE! And her Frankenstein!
